I honestly think that if Anno does make Shin Gundam, it should be just G-Quuuuux Char shenanigans with actual Okawara designs.

Fated soulmates in stories are usually pretty dull at the best of times but this is downright stupid

He barely even does or say anything interesting that isnt ripped from 0079, like a bad Char clone in the most literal sense. Someone that only watched Gqux might just get the impression hes just some generic cool guy.

I’m confused about how he built a “split in two and turn into a warp gate” function into the superlaser without anyone knowing about it, but I’m willing to forgive it because the premise of the show is that “Char is such a dweeb that he jobs to Amuro unless Lalah keeps Amuro out of the war entirely.”

The writer's only perception of Char was that he was good at deceiving one or two people, so since he was a fan of Char he decided to up the ante by making Char decieve an entire government and thousands of scientists and engineers without any of them ever noticing. Char is so smart...
