You could before with the Toyspress English versions, but considering the current going rate....either stick it out to March or go with Mangadex scans of the Toyspress versions.

Let me tell you why. Nagano for one, is an Auteur, but also an autist when it comes to his works. He literally commissioned companies to make him materials for his manga because the other inks/shades he used weren't available. Anyway, Nagano filmed Gothicmade in 12k, which doesn't even have theaters that can run it. So, it's shrunk to 8k for theaters in Japan with Dolby speakers. This is how Nagano wants us to see it.

Between this and Wild Fang it looks like FSS is eternally condemned to MTL slop for English. >>23367005
This is a hoax, the real reason is because Gothicmade was a pilot for Toho's Dreampass rescreening program that lets it air on their Japanese theaters on demand.
>picked up Brain Powerd because only saw the kits and thought for some reason that this was what anons were talking about >turns out it was Five Star Stories, and just both of them have unusual humanoid designs
Well, I guess the translation's something to look forward to

I watched Gothicmade, its a fine roadtrip movie.
There's only a single battle scene, which honestly the best portion was the rise up sequence more then the actual fight.
Though, honestly, the most interesting portionf of the film is almost entirely related to your knowledge of FSS and its theme, that if you just watch it without knowing that, it will be a very hollow movie.

What are GTM fights even like because even reading the manga I struggle to get a good impression of how these things are supposed to move in combat
>>23372841
Did Nagano always imagine Mortarheads or Machine Messiahs to move that fast? Or was the original OVA an accurate adaptation of the general speed
>>23373003
The OVA fight is sorta moving in slow-mo but it's not well conveyed. There was an ancient fan made 3d movie of the Jagd Mirage running around and wrecking shit which seems more authentic to the manga. At least the stats on the MH seem to indicate they're quite fast.

I love it >>23373003
I mean there's a reason it basically requires a genetically engineered super soldier's descendants AND an artificial gynoid supercomputer to fight in these things.
Yes, they have developed and deployed MHs that don't require them, but iirc they perform like shit next to the real deal
>>23373074
It's extremely well conveyed in the OVA, KOG slices another MH in half before the head it dropped a second ago even hits the ground. There's also sonic boom when it draws its sword. It's slowed down for human eyes but that's how the genetically engineered super pilots would see the movements.

They move like jet planes. Sends out sword wave and shoots gut blow like a gun. But due to the fact that they made the fight to be pre-Fatima era Joker Calendar. They only do the basic stuff in the movie. No fancy sword techs like Sonic Blade in the movie.
Question is, at what rate will the English volumes come out? I know the Japanese volumes have been coming out at a rate of one volume every two years, but still.
