Sentinel and Gaia Gear have nothing to do with each other so you can read whichever one you like first.

If you don't want to be a paypig, start reading Sentinel first. Based off the dates in the link above where Zeonic announces he's started on another part of Gaia Gear and when he puts them up for public download after initially going up on Patreon, it's maybe 3 to 6 month wait per volume of Gaia Gear.
