>>23372852>I did have that in mind, she likes maho shojo.I’d call Rayearth an Isekai more than a magical girl show per se. It’s a great recommendation if she’s into 90s shows, not very /m/ for the first season but definitely a fun adventure you might enjoy, if albeit dated.
I showed my wife Eureka 7 and she liked it a lot - sleek character art, good romance, unique and modern. Previously she had seen TTGL and Code Geass on her own and liked them, TTGL especially - though she isn’t much of an anime girl to begin with. I’d choose anything in that ballpark - appealing designs and animation go a long way to get someone interested in something. Even Gargantia or Star Driver might be a better fit than Dynazenon of all things - a show made by Otaku, for Otaku, with a very specific audience in mind.
Lastly, if your significant other likes Utena - just because it has girls as the main cast, I’d hardly call it a “normal girl stuff”. It’s filled with all sorts of storytelling techniques that you wouldn’t see in most shows - much more aligned with Evangelion or even the Big O in a way. I’d ask her what themes or genres she’s interested in and work your way from that.
