Isn't kind of pointless to completely remove the Zeta's transformation scheme and replace it with a detachable waverider, basically bringing back the Super Gundam?

I don't like the design of the regz's attachment, but I do really like the idea of mechs with supplemental booster attachments they discard shortly after entering combat. That's probably more from ACFA though.
