Kinda hilarious that they retcon Hyaku Shiki's developments from a failed mobile suit

How is it a retcon when that was the initial backstory given? In Zeta it just shows up with minimal explanation beyond 'hey we were able to get this for the Lieutenant'.

It makes sense since it's pilot is a failed human being.

in side and databook lore, there are red versions of the Delta Gundam and Gundam Mark III intended to be given to Quattro but just never manage to get to him for reasons. Some cheeky mechanic also offers to paint the Hyaku Shiki red in one of the Gundam Evolve shorts, too.

The Delta Gundam was never actually made. The Mk-III got damaged during delivery IIRC and it was already too late into the war to repair in time for the final battle.

Would Quattro having access to the Delta have changed the final outcome at the end of Zeta? He could have wave rider crash into Haman instead of tackling her.

It's not really fair because Delta Plus/Delta Gundam are not newtype machines. They lack Psycommu. Meanwhile Quebely and The O are newtype machines.
