I'd keep the story as is but expand more on it (this will require 2 cours of 12 episodes each):

1. Dedicate an episode to why Meitzer thinks going back to feudalistic monarchism is a good idea for the Earth Sphere and another episode or two for anything related about Carrozzo (especially with how he treated his wife that led to her leaving him and taking their daughter Berah with her).

2. Dedicate an episode on the crew of the Space Ark dealing with Annamarie Bourget joining them after defecting from Crossbone Vanguard/Cosmo Babylonia (if there was one thing that was rushed into the movie, it was this).

3. To address what >>23383093 about Zeon fans, invent a new faction in the form of a private military contractor firm that's based in Side 3 formed by a combination of former Republic of Zeon military who took in Sleeves remnants and use miniaturized versions of Zeons iconic mobile suits who aid the Space Ark.

those are "enemy" MS, they were used against the feds and titans in UC0087 and luio and co is using them to attack the feds guarding martha because they're distinctly one of the more recent available MS that aren't blatantly zeon-associated but also don't align exactly with the feds either

I wouldn’t even care if they just made another completely different uc show that takes place during this time or if Hathaway doesn’t make sense with late uc. Why does everything need to fit perfectly into this uc timeline? Just as long as the show is good who cares.

I mean desu if you watch Victory, a lot of the plot makes sense given "F91" setting. Seabook's friend and family die one by one. Shakti is a step in for Cecily. I think a lot of what F91 was going to become was re-used for Victory anyways. Which kinda sucks because F91 could've been fucking kino. Not that I hate Victory but a closer cast with a more contemporary setting would've made the show a lot more timeless and have more of an impact.

Newtypes still exist but there was an attempt to dial their space magic bullshit back by a lot and they tried to lean more into war drama. F91 had them but they were more like the OYW depiction of newtypes. Victory also had them but they were treated more like traditional fantasy psychics there, with one having healing abilities, mind reading/wiping, things like that.

Then Unicorn came along and turned the space magic up to 20, ripped the knob off and established that Newtypes are all latent demi-gods that can break reality itself if you slap enough psychoframes on a vehicle they're piloting and then make them upset. G-Cuck took that concept and expanded on it.
