What shows other than gundam have good and cheap model kits. Sell me on your series.

I paint and decal kits, but would prefer not to pay more than 30$, but you might be able to sell me on expensive kits if they are good enough

it depends if you want to put in the work or not.

Hasegawa's Macross series are good and reasonable priced, but you have to paint it and put decals

Virtual On are good and has good articulation, but its very rare and putting decals on Temjin will make you crazy

Moderoids need a lot of work but the mecha selection is quite sublime

TL:DR; stick to bandai model kits if you dont want to put in work

hasegawas macross series doesnt transform so you have to buy jet, gerwalk and battroid forms, and you have to buy the option parts separately

and paiting and modifying joints is required

Its all over the place really. Xabungle was basically perfect out of the box, some of the Gravion stuff they gave up on the color separation in places even though they had runners of that color in the kit elsewhere.

Probably the worst I can think of would be something like Aoshima's ACKS Gunbuster but it's more along the lines of "feels like 30+years behind the times" with its poor instruction manual that has multiple errors, parts that don't really fit like the cables for the reactor and overall wobbliness instead of a total trainwreck.

Not really /m/ but Bandai's Star Wars line is great. They can sometimes rely a bit too much on stickers put you can just paint half of them anyways.
