I'm not saying I could do it but if some bazillionaire wanted to drop an asteroid or moon onto Earth I'd help out any way I could

Try using ziplock bags for that. You can have delicious pocket spaghetti while staying safe from accidents.

Feels bad man. Out of curiosity bro, do you still have the parts of that Star Roto robot or did they throw it out entirely? Cause if it has sentimental memories for you or is just impossible to find nowadays, you might be able to get a craftsman or tinkerer, even a hobbyist, to repair it for you. Sometimes folks who work with their hands, like even jewelers for instance, might be willing to take on a job like that as a side thing if they know you, or if you're willing to pay and they feel nice.

>do you still have the parts
I originally glued the left arm back(gears are destroyed inside). But the electronics are intact, so it still lights up and walks. But my brother, under the supervision of my psycho grandmother, keeps wrecking its other parts. Eventually some parts started to go missing. Then one day my pyscho grandmother throw the dilapidated Star Roto Robot away.

Sorry to hear that anon.

Somewhat Similar situation happened to me. My parents threw out almost all my things when I went to college without telling. Anything I didn't take with me to college was thrown out. All my childhood toys and all the things I saved. They thought it was junk.

The sad part is that it wasn't even necessary. Its not like they needed my room for anything. They just didn't like my stuff in there. I found out much later when I returned for a visit. It was all gone. The only thing they saved was my photo albums from middle school. But all of my cool mecha action figures from the 90s, my model cars, my die-cast cars (Lamborghini, VW bug), custom M&M dispenser, Gundam models, old stereo, my Captain Planet jet plane, my original Xbox with all my saved games, all. My original Xbox games, etc. All gone. I feel like I lost my childhood. My room was near empty. Meanwhile they left my sisters room untouched. Her things are perfectly preserved. I'm so angry just thinking about it. I could throw a massive fit, but it's not worth it anymore.

Anyway, I moved out and I've been on a hunt to buy back some of my items from childhood. I found some of them on ebay, but it's man been tough. Apparently toy collecting is a serious business now. Especially stuff from pre-2000s. It's crazy how rare some of this stuff is. But I'm not going to stop. I found a few of them and bought them. I'm unsure about my original Xbox from 2001. So many saved games were on it. I cleared so many games that I feel like it's not the same even if I found a new original Xbox. I would have to spend hundreds of hours beating those games again. I'm not sure I have it in me. It was a big part of my life.

But my mecha toys and gunpla? Yeah. Damn right I'm buying those back. How dare they throw those out.

Probably because shitty parents like that are the norm.

It's so strange. My parents generally treated me well growing up. But This whole episode of throwing my stuff out really caught me off guard. They hadn't done this before and it really wasn't necessary.

my dad sold off all my g1 Transformers and MUSCLE toys
but he got good money because him and his brother flip shit from estate sales so they know how to roll
and he gave me a cut, so I'm not _that_ annoyed
