>>23390692I'm going to use https://mmecha.fandom.com/wiki/Mazinger_Z_Monsters as an example here to voice my complaints. Clicking on that page you'd think it'd be a straightforward list of Kikaiju, but nope.
First it throws an extraneous list of the shows and their airdates at you, then a list of Dr. Hell's generals (Without even explaining who Dr. Hell is until you get to the section on Kikaiju) and the various fortresses used. Then when you actually get to the section on Kikaiju, the description given is more of an explanation on how Dr. Hell took control of them rather than explaining what they are.
After scrolling through a quarter of the page you finally get to the list of Kikaiju and it's just names, weapons, and stats. No images to show what the kikaiju look like, no description on what they're meant to do other than what weapon they have, no info on how Mazinger actually beats them, nothing. Adding onto that, Information from various spinoffs are shoved into the bottom quarter of the page so now you have Mazinkaiser stuff mixed in with Shin Mazinger stuff too.
Pretty much all the pages on the wiki follow this format of
>"The following is a list of the ___ that appeared in ____">Japanese/English name for the show, When the show aired, episode count, etc>Table of contents>Text dumps of information with no cohesion to what's being provided>Zero images on each page to show what each mecha or monster looks likeAnd this is before getting into the mess of a home page (The same text blurb over 7 different languages despite the entire wiki being entirely in english), the fact that some shows are completely MIA because the guy running the wikia has a bias against them, and the inability to find information easily due to the complete lack of internal links in the actual pages.
As far as wikis go it's absolutely abhorrently designed, and I think I speak for the community that /m/ does not need it.
