SRW games used to average out at 50~60 scenarios.
Things like 30 ballooning it were the exception.

Y is doing a variant on the Impact/MX thing where it sometimes gave you a body of 4 or so missions you can play in pick-your-own-order, but was otherwise linear. It seems that the spin Y puts on it is that you get a larger pool of such scenarios each chapter and after completeing all of them, you transition into a linear segment that connects into the next chapter.

Meaning you'll get mostly side-missions and probably the slice-of-life add-on DLC missions as part of the main chapter meat, while all the big exposè stuff will be linear chains connecting the chapter bodies as closing/opening scenarios. 7 chapters may SEEM like not a lot, but even if each only contains something like 6 side missions (which seems not unreasonable a volume) and there are at least 2 or 3 linear missions inbetween (which alsois not unreasonable to provide closure on a chapter and open a new one) you're already looking at 80+ scenarios total.

We've already seen in the trailers Garuda is fighting alongside the Raideen villains. This is also kind of set up in the demo since Hyoma talks about taking up the fight against the Yoma empire, setting up Combattler as tied to Raideen's villains here.

The Zero Requiem pulled the plug from a lot of the endgame space battles since Char decided to use the chance to call for a treaty. Now that the EF is dissolved and everyone is back to being their own sovereign nations, Char will almost certainly lose control over the Spacenoids or they'll retaliate when Logos or VAL-X do something dumb.

No the mobile ports that got brought over to PC eventually were older, they slammed most of the sprites through a smoothing filter and called it a day. Just looks outright bad.
The dumb part of the pixel remaster is the font choice but it's possible to mod it to something less shitty.
Still, best experience is probably the SNES versions with a fan bugfix patch but like 1% of people would ever bother setting that up for themselves.

I think the pixel remaster is actually fine for 1 and maybe 5. Aside from those pixel remaster is just a downgrade. The additional dungeons in the psp port of 1 are very bad like randomly generated shit that if you take too long you get booted out there were very obnoxious puzzles that I didn't bother to do it, a shame that the ultra boss is locked behind these chores. In 5's case the best is still snes since the gba didn't add much but had a much worse soundtrack. The pixel remaster for 5 is the best when you're looking to replay it doing some job challenges since the added speed and exp multipliers can making job grinding fast.

Presumably a lot of the game's database format is internally still accessed ordinally, i.e. directly by row number rather than by some unique key. Which, as the running theory goes, is how the fuck up with Izuru going AWOL happened in SRW 30 - a basic 'off by one' programming error.

This means they can't scrub the data entirely clean without rewriting the code that still does those ordinal accesses. But what they *can* do is truncate those tables that are still accessed ordinally by finding the highest row number with data the demo actually needs and then tossing the rest.
Assumedly, they can't just null out intermediate rows either, because the game has to load the data files and process them to build up its in-memory data structures with all the pilot and unit info as well -- and that part of the code would probably bomb on nulled out rows.
