Anons, I have figured out how to install mods for DS1R in Addition to seamless Co-op.
you need your mod (i picked age of sunlight, seems fun!) then you need DS1R Seamless Co-op and Mod Engine 2 (specifically the ds1r version, its on nexus)
set things up like this and stuff. oh yes and if you use age of sunlight all classes besides 1 start with 0 Resistance.. I think you need to level it to 1 or something doesn't work right kek

About 30something% completion at this point.

There's going to be at least as many houses on the opposite side of the town hall
Hospital (cleric), small rock farm (mason), restaurant (butcher), some sort of smithy (armorer + weaponsmith + toolsmith).
The commercial district along the road up the hill facing the town hall, the boutique-like building is already there.
A cool observatory on top of the large hill.

After that is done I'll still have to do a second pass and add furniture inside the buildings along with some smaller details like chimneys.
Then I'll also want to create a faux-Everfree nearby using mangrove trees, like I talked about last thread.
And then I'll have to resettle some pony villagers and invite them to the epic settlement.

Just found out why that's happening. Player inventories and world chunk data aren't saved at the same time before a crash, which could lead to something like this. Let's say that you were mining for ancient debris a minute before the crash, you found it and mined it out. Then the server crashes, you rejoin the server and then found out that you got returned to the position before you mined the ancient debris and didn't have it in your inventory, but there's still a tunnel leading to the ancient debris and it's mined out. So yeah, that would suck really. It can also work the other way where you placed a shulker box pre-crash and then rejoining to find out that the shulker box got duped (you placed the shulker box in the world while still having it in your inventory). I think the solution to this is that player data and chunk data should be saved simultaneously and not being left in limbo like this

A timeout crash could be the explanation of why everyone "times out" when a server tick gets too long. This is set in the server.properties file as "max-tick-time=X". When a tick gets longer than this, the server will WatchDog crash, kick everyone out and then automatically restart. The fact that it does this without saving everyone's player data, is very risky by itself and without warning, and could be the cause of MC-63 bug

Server crashed recently, was caused by an activated beacon. After the server got back up, all the progress of the beacon got rolled back in the world (about 10-15 minutes of building progress gone). Which meant that the nether star obtained got deleted alongside with the 4 layer pyramid for the construction. I was cucked out of a real fight again Chrysalis was like 20 days from finishing Alicorn Sunset, then declared war on the entire northern faction. Alicorn Sunset will still force Chrysalis over the Crystal Empire even if it has absolutely no association with Alicorns, it's weird because the focus considers non-historical in that it pulled Vanhoover (who I failed to destroy in time) into the war.
Even still Chrysalis pushed me, and got 14 of 96 divisions encircled and destroyed, and pushed me back two rivers, I'm certain I would have beat her if she didn't go all https://youtu.be/zLcAu1VuP0w?si=P67NZQ6wVfH8FkZY
There is still a chance Sombra will faction up with Stalliongrad, or that Aquileia will dominate Griffonia while I have to march around the North so I can have a challenge, but who knows.
The civil war was fun to micro for a bit, and using volunteers to win the south-eastern civil war was intense, the one on my side was 99% towards capping for a month before me and the Chirroptera player managed to take down the Solar Resistance. Vanhoover on both sides of the bay looks really nice, they should get cores on both sides instead of becoming a slightly bigger blob into the surrounding area.

Vahoover was the first to fall, real peaceful, a few infantry units got moved by my mediums then there cities were occupied. A nice humiliation to ensure no Vanhoover national identity sticks around.
Then the fall of the crystal empire went down real easy, it was a week to the Crystal City, then the whole rotting house came down.
Stalliongrad declared war on the nothern federation after I started justifying on them (Twice in one run). Sinister got pushed in the North, so I was convinced it would be an easy war. I mean he lost, but it was the type of loss that would get a Sabaton song written about it. I lost two of my 9 tank divisions by strength loss while trying to take Petershoof, almost lost a third in that large island, I had to fall back twice, and make encirclements instead of just shoving through. Stalliongrad was winning the air. To be fair to my army I had four of nine tank divisions down in Zebrica to jump in against Aris if that went south.
I never got to repay the debt to my Chiropterra player for saving me in the early game, he managed to cleverly cap Warzena, and that encircled a large chunk of Aris troops, he was done with the land war before I could even cap the Northern faction.

It's not as though I thought the Nothern faction would be hard to cap, it's just I didn't want to go snaking around in supply hells for a year. fortunately the Penguins ended up as the major for some reason, so I could just naval invade up their coasts. There was like 12 Aquileian troops up in Weter, which took 2 of 5 of my amph. divs, but once the Griffonian Empire forced them out, the faction fell easy.
Chirropterra got the naval invasion with only their puppets navies, I called myself in so I could cap Cuba, to justify taking it in the peace deal. In my most embarrassing failure in recent memory, I lost four Amph. divs failing to naval invade Cuba as a major thanks to launching right into an Aris convoy raid.

Over a year ago, I had united Equus under Stalliongrad, and in a 1018 war, the Griffonian Empire completely pushed my out of New Mareland puppet, because I was still on foot infantry, while they had gone nearly full mechanized. I finally get to pay that loss back, with 4/5 of my infantry armies being brought up to this template, after the Griffonian Empire falls nobody will even be close to challenging my hegemony, especially with only a partial River Federation, it would take the economies of the River Federation, Hindia, Kiria and the Storm Kingdom together to fail to add up to my economy, with-out considering the rest of my faction.

Nah, you can totally win on your own. I did it multiple times.

Key is to fortify near your impassibles and be sure to guard your ports. Ideally, you want cheap infantry so you can org wall with some forts. I would recommend support AT since changelings love their tanks though. My general strategy is to let them crash into my lines then, then once their weakened or unwilling to attack, make some slow and small encirclements until they are weak enough for a full on counterattack. If you got enough troops to steadily hold the line, you might want to invest in some tanks or stronger divisions to start pushing, or planes to contest the sky.

No Case Left Unsolved is very clever, though not easy, and has an excellently written story.
I also really like Cyber Manhunt and Orwell, where you solve cases by tracking people's online footprint and invading their privacy in some very morally gray ways, with an "ends justify the means" excuse.

I think the Lunar pack got the nuke first, and we have Jets and Ballistic missiles in development. With a bunch of Lunar Hong Kongs around the world, we could ensure no substantial navy or nuclear force ever develops with-out a ground war taking place.
With-out the weakness of democratic decision making, or the succession crises that befall mortal emperors, Lunar hegemony should be everlasting, barring internal collapse.

1. First you need to download some things:

Create a new folder in your favorite directory and put the files into there.

2. Open melonDS, in the "Config" tab you'll find various sections to see, like "Input and hotkeys" to configure controllers; "Video settings" to change 3D resolution (if you want to, change (3D renderer to OpenGL (Classic) and you can replace internal resolution up to you wish, if ur computer can); Audio settings if you need to change the output; etc.

The important thing is, in "Firmware settings", config as you liking, BUT let the language on English, if don't, missing textures on game will be constant.

Oh, and don't touch on "General" or "Network settings" neither.

On "View" section, you can change the screen size on "Screen layout"

3. When you're ready, open the game in "Open Rom", search the game on the folder and select, should be open. Go to "Nintendo WFC" > "Nintendo WFC Settings" > "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings" > "Connection 1 Ready" (If you don't have any, click on "Connection 1 None" > "Search for an Access Point" and will be shown a point called "melonAP", pulse OK, and will be saved).

Back to "Connection 1 Ready", open up and down to the bottom until "Auto-obtain DNS", change to "No", and write this IP on Primary and Secondary DNS:

As shown in the image. Click on "Save settings", and go back to the game.

4. Select "Nintendo WFC Match", accept, and the game itself will configure your profile, if it gets you out, log on again.

IMPORTANT: Keep on mind that, this server has regular Mario Kart DS too, so I recommend to play with friends (Yes, friend codes can be registered) or any selection but "Worldwide", because if matches with another player without the hackrom, the emulator crashes.

I don't think their faction ever occupied a major city during the entire war they got one tile outside of Vanhoover, Manehatten and two tiles outside of the Crystal City. Equestria was way easier than I was expecting, I ended up fighting an additional major after fucking my industry. I ended the war before I could get a medium tank division out. The Grifonian Empire and Italy got humiliated considering how many volunteers they sent to the Hegemony. I hate the Bear/Changeling border it is impossible to make look good. I didn't know the Bears had a King Michaels Coup option in the first place. I have made Nova Griffonia look like that several times.

There's a very cool mod for 1.5.2 called Mine Little Brony (not to be confused with Mine Little Pony) that adds quite a bit of pony content. Structures, mobs (friendly and hostile), ores, foods, plants, etc. You can tame the Mane 6 and give them armor - they serve as pack mules too!

The 1.7.10 one is called 'The Elements' and adds the Elements of Harmony as minable ores, alongside some other stuff.

Both of those don't have download links, but I have the files that I can send if need-be.

1.7.10 also has a zap apple tree mod and the Mythical Creatures mod. You'll need to get a mod or something to individually enable/disable modded creatures though as some of these are game breaking and will absolutely destroy your world/crash the game.

1.12.2 is a great choice for modding, the big things that come to mind are 1.7.10, 1.12.2, 1.16.5, and 1.20.1 - I mostly play earlier versions but have been experimenting with 1.20 recently. I have a lot of nostalgia for 1.2.5, but yeah I wouldn't make a mod for that version haha.

The Griffons in my game are impossible to bomb, they can instantly dump literally 19k planes in any given province.

Pretty decent, it gives incredibly high guard boost, but I dont think increases elemental damage reduction much, so you will still take more chip damage than you'd take compared at being a shieldfag in basegame ER
Another problem is that heavy guard stance reduces stamina regen A LOT, so you need to block with high stamina or you will get guard broken regardless
I have heard that doing a foward dash for heavy guard gives invinsibility frames but I have yet to see/feel it
Grab attacks still fuck Guardian over, Ulcerated Tree Spirit being the most notorious case of it

After more than two years of the front standing still I have actually managed to deplete the Griffonian griffonpower reserves and make their lines collapse.
I was expecting a much longer meatgrinder period, I swapped to the Empire with a command just to check what's going on for them and realized that their focus tree gimped them by locking their recruitment level.

imo the empire should have a special event that allows them to bypass that locked law in an event they start losing a defensive war, kinda doesn't make sense for them to just lay down and die because muh laws.

Not encouraged (I think host didn't even want TNT traps in bases, which happened once), but there's no rules on the server, regardless. As far as management, the only thing that's been around is an auth plugin and basic spawn block protection.

Not necessarily. Venators were great for fighters, but the ISD was more of a battleship. Their size meant that they could strap more and stronger guns on it while allowing it to hold the supplies to increase its operational effectiveness. An ISD could go on for years without needing to resupply, which was incredibly useful for an empire that had to garrison most of a galaxy. It was more of a logical vessel then you'd think.

I've actually been waiting for something like this for years, was going to commission one of the modders to port over the gmod models to replace the player models for maximum snowpity slayer, just been busy. But i would happily provide this server with some of the maps/mods i've made.

Using the old brohoof map as a base would help with that project a lot. Arguably so would using the /mlp/con map, which is the brohoof map but with the baltimare convention center added and baltimare a little more completed.

I've been hosting the old brohoof Equestria4 map for a decade now, that and the fallout version, albeit with a decade's worth of my own, uh, ""additions"", but I should still have the originals somewhere.
I'm surprised that https://www.brohoof.com/backups/ finally went offline, they kept that archive up for ages.

Dear pesky vintage story server people; are you aware of an issue with the pony mod that prevents picked up items from being removed from the ground? To be clear, items can be picked up, but they are visibly on the ground for the player who picked it up as well as other players in the server.
If so, how fix?
