Did a good job as a temp headmare despite Discord being Discord and figuring out his problem.

Learned how friends makes everything better and more fun. She happened to pulled a mini-Dashie but never does it again.

Learned to set boundaries in her endless quest to help others in need.

Learned nepotism maybe isn't the best in every case, just kidding, friends makes everything better and more fun.

Sacrifices herself twice to protect the students and Equestria. I really would've liked her to stand up for the trio though, especially Chryssy. But I don't blame her for that, that's kind of on the writers.
>The Last Problem
From cult leader to headmare of the school of friendship, she had a wonderful set of arcs showing just how much she has grown. She evolved more than most of the m6 did with less than half the screentime.
There's a few episodes I skipped, but she's been helpful in those too as a supporting character.
So yeah, the average Starlight hater simply doesn't watch or pay attention to the show. They focus on the two naughty things she did, brainwashing her friends and trading Trixie's wagon then completely ignore everything else, ignoring all the good things she did and lessons she learned. They don't have the mental hardware to keep track of anything or even comprehend a simple children's cartoon show. And at least Starlight gets reprimanded for her mistakes while giving a heart-felt apology, where the hay were Twilight and Dash's apologies, they get away with everything consequence-free thanks to main character privilege. This is why Trixie and Starlight are more compelling characters to me.
