What you can do is still quite limited. Anything more complex than one character doing one thing in a simple setting will be either corrupted with noise or just not have everything in the prompt.
Ponies get a double whammy since some of the tags you'd want to use are so heavily infested with anime and anthro that it's almost impossible to gen actual ponies with those.

Then there's all the shitflinging and religious arguing about it being slop with no soul where it's more important to declare you have the correct opinion than to be right. But that's just today's internet that's been destroyed by social media algorithms and echo chambers they created.

I also should use the technique I was using when I started with SD 1.5. By making a bunch of grids of 512x512's and then picking which ones I want to make bigger. Hmmm, it would give the thread something to do besides look at all the images I post. They can help me select which images to render in higher resolution. I dunno though, the thread is much different then when we just started with ai art. Seems much less populated. I wonder why the steep decline in artists trying to make ai art? Is it because the VRAM requirements of SDXL or some other factor? What factors do you think played a roll in the decline? Speaking about quality, what about "quality enhancing" Loras like this one? I saw some people using them but is there any good reason except token saving or something? Not useful for PDXL. You should use the "score_9..." tag with that checkpoint. For other checkpoints it varies: just read the description on CivitAI for what is suggested. I personally don't think "absurdres" is ever useful, because SDXL is always trained on images of the same resolution (1024x1024), and high-res images are not necessarily high quality (a lot of vectors on Derpibooru are "absurdres" for example, but they're comparatively low quality compared to images with tags like "scenery porn").

I haven't tried that LoRA, so I can't tell you if it works well or not, but I find it useless for my own purposes because it requires you to use a source and rating tag for it to actually kick in, which I don't usually use, and those take up tokens by themselves as well.

Someone trying to poison the AI thread, as usual.

Hello again AI Chads! Finally I have something to show. I tried two different approaches. At first I tried as short as possible prompt. Almost all errors were gone, but the style I was after disappeared aswell no matter what I tried. So I decided to try the previous prompt again, separated it (but still optimized it a bit) with BREAK into less than 75 tokens sections (thanks again for the Diffusion tokenizer!) and it worked! Turned out some "redundant" tags I removed affected the style (like HDR tag changes style in my favorite Sugar Moonlight Lora dramatically for some reason). Cleaning the negative prompt helped A LOT too. Removing all the "masterpiece" and "best quality" tags didn't change anything (thanks for the explanation). The "quality" Lora I mentioned before. I didn't notice much different in quality but again, it affected the overall style instead. Not dramatically but it was a nice touch so I decided to keep it. Anyway, this pic is way less cartoonish than I wanted and actually had, I messed up somewhere and I think I know where exactly, but still such a good result. Without abysmal errors. Thank you once again for all your help!

To an extent. After playing with the prompt, pure black and white monochrome turned into this, but way less intense. It looked so good with the cartoonish style I had, despite all the errors. But after I added "quality" Lora and remade the prompt, certain gens appeared with this intense purple monochrome, but without cartoonish style. And I actually liked how it looks so like I said before, intentional but to an extent. PurplePaline is very purple I agree, heh. I think I could've get both the style and this color at some point, but I run out of free gens on Civitai way faster than I gen something acceptable.

if a checkpoint suggest to use that, that means its based off ~danbooru tags, and when generating your image, it will style the image similarly to other images with that same tag that are in the train/test dataset

It seems to be a tag only used on Danbooru and the likes, it's not even used on pony boorus (it's "absurd resolution" or "absurd res" on those, and "absurd_res" on e621, although it is aliased with "absurdres" there) so it's pretty much entirely useless for PDXL.

At least a third of the "absurdres" images on pony boorus are vectors also, which are generally low quality images (unless you're going for show-accurate I guess). I don't know what the style of absurdres images on Danbooru is generally like, since I don't really care about those, but at a cursory glance it looks like only a minor portion is vectors.

I just don't think looking at resolution of the original trained images is a very good quality indicator. Looking through some of the absurdres images on Danbooru they seem pretty average to me. Using a keyword like "detailed" probably works much better.

Hello it's me again. Thank you all once again, I wanted to gen such simple cute pic for a while now and only with couple additional loras it's finally possible. For some reason parfait got warped into something unexplainable every single time. Even more often than background. Oh and cleaning the negative prompt helped a lot too, especially removing all the "hands" and "bad anatomy" tags. After that they stopped appearing pretty much entirely.

Ah I am sorry! I had quite massive "standard" negative prompt but turned out it's not a good idea like one Anon explained at the previous thread. That explanation was priceless. Now it's way shorter and in this particular case there are pretty much necessary tags for this Lora like "hat" "helmet" or maybe most important "spider costume" and their variations, depending on situation and prompt of course. Otherwise Sugar tends to get either het ANG helmet or Nightmare Night costume. Anyway.

You were right, the shorter prompt is significantly more effective than less optimized but separated with BREAK, minus certain cases when it's necessary of course. Also I realized the most obvious thing - I don't need to severely overweight style loras, I just need to put a trigger word somewhere at the beginning of the prompt and bam - "it just works". I'm so embarrassingly slow. Or is this a wrong approach?

Well in my very very limited experience, I'm still a beginner, that's true. Mostly. In the certain cases, to make the style to appear I needed to severely overweight the Lora which always resulted in additional mess here and there. I've been thinking what could possibly be done with that, looked at the other prompts at Civitai and tried to find a solution. So when I moved the trigger word at the beginning seems like gave it even more priority and style appeared instantly with way lower weight. It helped at one other prompt I've been trying to gen properly for a while, tried at this one and it worked aswell.

It does? It should only change the area masked over. Usually my issue is that too low a denoising strength causes nothing to change while too high of a strength causes the inpainted area to not match the area that was not inpainted. This is why I usually inpaint a low res image before upscaling it, which usually fixes any visual hiccups that might cause.

She can still be fuzzy, you just have to go into inpaint and mask the specific areas you want only scales and remove the fur tags from the prompt and hit generate until you like how that area looks. If you want to upscale the entire thing I'd all all the tags back and set the denoising strength to like 0.5, which usually keeps the image more or less as it was.

After taking a look myself I see what your issue is. Pic related is what I got when I did some inpainting to get rid of the fluff on the chest. Now her stomach is all one smooth strip. Now what I couldn't really get to happen is having scales on the chest like on her back. The problem is that I think you're contradicting the model's training by trying to get it to create a less realistic dragon. Real reptiles have smooth bellies like this so making it rough like the top is basically telling the model to do it wrong which it doesn't want to do.

Hello again AI Chads! As always, it took some time for me to gen something worth sharing. I respect your prompting skills even more than before. This time I struggled hard to keep this style I accidentally got (quite fun how tag "shaded" changed the overall look of the pic when I moved it here and there) alongside the background and the outfit. I have couple more questions if that's okay. First I wonder, if there's any reason in using "detailer" Loras? I kept burning down all my buzz on Civitai lately on experimenting with them but barely saw any difference (well except one that made flowers on the other prompt less screwed up). The other question, is Pony Diffusion always struggles with complicated patterns? I mean art nouveau like and stuff. I tried different prompts, from very long to super short but always the key parts are broken (I can show an example if needed). Standard Loras I saw aren't what exactly I was looking for, so the last question. Should I try "unrestricted mode" (I'm using online generator on Civitai) or it's not a good idea? I will be very grateful for any answers.

If you're fine with Linux, you'll just need to find a guide for setting up SD on it for AMD cards of which there are several online. I think generally, you'll get worse performance than Nvidia cards but if you've got a good AMD card it shouldn't be too bad.

If it's Pony V6 I would say yes. I personally try to avoid any kind of pattern in my gens as they tend to have a lot of errors that need fixing but it can do things like polka dots fairly well. I have no idea what unrestricted mode is, does it let you adjust the settings or something?
