RGRE means Reversed Gender Roles Equestria, which can mean a lot of things. Most often yes, it's just "let's take a dating advice book from the 1950s and swap all the gendered words." Sometimes it's something more. Most of the time, no matter the context, it will devolve into rape fantasy in some form or another like God intended.

Personally I like when there's any thought at all to the idea that mares and stallions haven't just swapped brains. Maybe masculine stuff is seen the same way we see girly shit, but for different reasons. Like fuck, I dunno, stallions love big machines as much as men and while mares are learning specialized magic or farming or w/e, their brothers are being taught all the basics of maintaining a home. Plumbing, electric, basic carpentry- your mares are at school or work all day, earning money for you, the least you can do is make sure they have nothing to worry about at home.
Instead of working stallions breaking into nursing and secretary work, they'd be drivers and maintenance crew. No responsible boss would want a stallion out on the girders doing the hard labor, for multiple reasons, but if you have a big crane that's being a little too quirky for its own good? Nothing for it but to apply the masculine touch.

However, here's something new in the "stallion-TF with a traumatic backstory transported to RGRE" world:

The author, Storymaker, ran out of genre tags, so "human" escaped my usual filter and this showed up in my search. Still, I have to grudgingly admit it's merely poorly written.
So far we have 1 chapter, anon (Jack) is a musclebound Chad whose parents used to fight and maybe beat him. He liked vinyl before it was cool and turns down the swarm of ladies who approach him because of all of his childhood feelings. Then Twilight teleports him to Equestria to be her husband, where he turns into, *sigh*, a male alicorn. There's a static explaining-things scene and then he's sent to his room where he sings a sad song -with lyrics in the text I am not fucking kidding- and then goes to bed.

BUT, the RGRE is shaping up. This author actually cares to lean into the dark tag a teensy bit. First off, and most enticingly, as Twilight explains that his soul has been made Equestrian and he's stuck here permanently, she also clarifies the summoning spell causes some kind of soul-bonding. The ramifications have yet to be made totally clear, but a great deal of possession and ownership is voiced about it. Delicious, I've really been hoping for some soul-bond stuff. There's some further implication that summoning males from other dimensions as war grooms is common, another fantastic idea I've been thinking we've lacked.
Starlight shows up to make some lewd comments about the main character, Twilight does some mate guarding, invades his personal space for some lewd nuzzling, makes it clear she owns him, all very good. Finally, she changes his name and then gives him a room next to hers with a connecting door. Best of all, he dislikes all of this.

I'm anxious about him being an alicorn. Obviously stallicorns violate something sacred about the show in general, but moreover setting up a future equalization in power between them is a huge red flag that this story may culminate in some gay, historically bankrupt re-litigation of a gender war rebellion or whatever. Likewise if the course of his resistance to Twilight becomes, in a narrative sense, more about humiliating her than about failure then I'll probably stop reading.
Otherwise, the author's writing is passable, although frequent grammatical issues in the comment replies make me concerned. He has a knack for that kind of terrible dramatic comparison that only someone truly lacking in imagination can accomplish, and an urgency about making said comparisons for every single thing he describes.

Chapter 2's out. Sadly, most of my fears are confirmed. There's a bit of nice stuff in here, like it seems stallions drop into some kind of subspace while getting molested, which is bretty good.
But overall it's clearly just about him humiliating Twilight and doing some kind of heckin' revolution subplot. Even if Twilight is being set up as an antagonist the refusal to ever grant her a win is completely neutering her as a threat. Otherwise, it's just an Estee-esque overly dramatic slog of re-litigating the gayest of women's lib talking points. No thought has been given to the question of how exactly society functions as a public rape fest when everyone is caught in the grip of strong possessive/protective instincts.
The author's writing skill continues to be an issue. His scenes are "walking to place", "visiting checkpoints in market" and "standing around", characters keep teleporting, dialog often jumps around in its focus and intent. He puts great effort into describing predatory and hostile relations between mares but lacks the delicate touch. It is a story turned up to 8 at all times.
I believe I am finished with it for now. The long chapters accomplish very little, I feel no desire to cheer for the things the author expects me to, and I can't imagine how the MC being teleported through time yet again after 40k words describing the current setting is going to do anything for my investment.

I think this may be that deadly 1/3rd point where I've seen people note this story falls off, and the author gets caught up one-upping himself. Up until now, every major plot beat was a mix of reward and some sad/complicated tradeoff that hurt BJ in the course of making the right choice. This story hooked me in with how rewarding those highs were. Blackjack suffers, but she's a real hero, and the world reacts to her development. This is the first time something has just felt like pure punishment for no reason. We should have been given the obvious reward here, but more than that, it seems like the author was just outright too lazy to actually work out the difficult character interactions that had been put on hold from the start of the story. The whole return to the vault arc wasn't just depressing, it was a letdown, a failure to give a resolution to one of the plot's first and longest standing tensions.
But anyway, to keep this somewhat on topic: we even got cheated out of a more intimate look at the stallions rebuking their own rescue. It just comes up in passing. Also, pegging? THAT's how the Overmare does her last hurrah?

My mega autism headcannon is that magic channeling is done through calcium. Featherbrains have lots of calcium in their wing bones, boneheads have lots in their horn, and earth ponies (they have it bad enough, don't need to call them a slur) have stronger bones in general. Depending on your level and flavor of power fantasy, humans either have less calcium than ponies in their bones or it's canceled by the iron in our bodies being anti-magic or we have alicorn tier calcium and each of our fingers is basically a horn.

In my canon stallions are stronger than mares due to genetic reasons dating to before RGR (and written history).
However, in this RGRE age, mares naturally grow their strength since they have to do a lot of physical labor helping either around the house or the farm/smithy/similarly marely jobs while they grow up, meanwhile colts are coddled and sheltered which weakens them, so it sorta evens out.
Socially, mares are expected to be the strong ones. Stallions may wash the floor and clean the dust, but who moves the heavy-ass furniture for them? That's right, mares of the house!
Stallions can still grow HUEG (see Big Mac) while helping around at the farm (or doing similarly physically-demanding job), though.

For me it's also that they evolved to withstand pregnancies with relative ease and to recover from giving birth faster. Mares are also smarter (and yes, more magically gifted: better farmers, fliers and mages, and that comes with the fact that when stallions cum they lose a fraction of their "qi", which isn't the case for mares, making stallions naturally gimped like that) than stallions on average, and stallions naturally tend to follow mares' lead. Was just chewing on this actually. Might be that a stallion's prospects after the conscription period are up are part of an ongoing negotiation, and ending up with a mare he's fallen in love with is an open possibility. If his leisure time is his own, he can include courtship and socialising.
But I think the bigger compromise is on the portion of stallions within this system. If it's like 25/75 captive/roaming or so, but the overall ratio is also fairly poor, then you could have a situation where love is thought of in the same way we think of home ownership: difficult, not necessarily accessible to everyone, but if you're bright and have prospects the chance is high enough to tantalise you, but everyone else has to make due with renting.

Probably the bigger concern since the parents both seem like they're living busy lifestyles, which puts pressure on "state-run foal rearing" which I'm less keen on. One possibility is slowing down the impregnation rate by investing the stallions per mare a little more: there's "quickie appointment #4 this afternoon" but there could also be "she/her herd gets your contract for the whole spring season". Herds can do joint foal-rearing, and if estrus is a unified annual thing then males will also have off-time that can be put to use on foal-rearing. So a stallion maybe has a few reproductive engagements in a given year, while also busying himself with the follow-up from the previous years, it's a long term investment and they stay engaged for some time after.
I'd say a mare waiting until she's in a stable place in life before reproducing is probably going to see its own natural enforcement just by virtue of a) her having to do the brunt of the foal rearing, and b) the possibility of finding love and a stallion of her own being something one would expect to live in the hearts of the young and hopeful.

I don't think they are, but for the sake of discussion; Mares may be stronger than stallions because ancient mares, long before the tribes formed, had to wrestle wild stallions to the ground. They aren't stronger by genetics, but by an instinctual need to make themselves stronger than stallions. If a mare sees a stallion stronger than her, she is hit with an intense, gnawing desire to run and lift until her brain believes she could overpower him if needed.
This has the side effect of making it really easy to find regular gym buddies, because mares don't even realize they're trying to surpass you.

-Choppy sentences and dialogue. Character are dramatic. They talk like this. Emphasis. Verbs. Adjectives. Verbs, other verbs.
-Sentences such as "[Summary of situation...] That's not X, it's Y." "Not out of X, emdash, but of Y".
-Terms such as "sweet as poison" "steel wrapped in velvet", "smile didn't reach her eyes", "slow and deliberate"
-As >>42280563 mentioned, dialogue is repetitive and the continuity is lost in subtle ways. For example in chapter 2 Spike switches between snarky assistant and abused servant. Let's not even get on Twilight. One of the worst cases of this loss in continuity was during AJ and Pinkie's sex scene. Twilight tells Pinkie to get off her stallion. Pinkie ignores her, later when she gets angry enough to use her magic to pull both of them off they ask why she didn't just tell them to get off earlier. Twilight says she didn't (although she did) because she wanted to observe. Note that Twilight drops both of the mares twice in this scene.

Another hard tell is that when anything explicitly sexual happens there is a change in style and a noticeable drop in grammar quality...because regular ChatGPT couldn't have generated that as easily. The sudden changes in tense are suspect as well. Sometimes when Jack thinks or talks there's an irregular number of ellipsis, breaking the general "words... words" pattern.
