So, any other argie anon is planning to assist it? Would be nice if it was successful and the the local fandom had a resurgence or something. Gonna be bumping with info and tomorrow take some pictures for the thread.

I wish, but i'm from bahia mugre and kinda poorfag
And I'm not even sure how much of it will actually be pony-related, or if it will just be the event posters and the rest of the stores will be weeaboo as usual.
If they were full mlp, even if it were much smaller, I'd probably consider traveling there.

I hope to meet other anons eventually, but sadly it won't be tomorrow.
Are you the same anon who started a thread asking how to find people to go to that event a week ago?
Anyways, take lots of pics and post them here!

Yeah the same, I know is gonna be mostly Otaku shit but is the best we can get here. Is not like the fandom is big enough to have something as good or pony centred like any gringo or European convention. Think the best we can do as fellow horsefuckers on the area is to attend it to justify make more on the future and get more people interested. I'll be trying to archive and collect some photos (and maybe anecdotes) here.
>>42254714
That's the spirit! Having both something as a big pony event both at this region and current year is a miracle and want to be something that repeats time to time. It's depress me seeing anons having fun on Marefair, Evernorth or Galacon while here even finding some decent merchanding is a miracle. I'll be wearing gray pants, a black jacket and old rip-off Nike shoes. Also a yellow pony keychain.

It's not like it's an actual con, it's a monthly themed independent artist market where people sell stickers and prints. It just so happens that this time around it's MLP-themed, so we're appropriating it.

The bigger ones like the Harry Potter one are paid though

I hope that the pony merch on display will have been made by fans and not just furries/grifters. Do share your pictures and anecdotes, bro, I'm quite interested.
When I was in Mexico City for a few months, I spotted one such independent artist market in some backyard, and if I actually do end up moving from Europe to Mexico, I'd set up shop and sell a little bit of pony merch, wondering if there are ponylovers around who are in a similar boat as you (and me then).

>It's depress me seeing anons having fun on Marefair, Evernorth or Galacon
>GalaCon
Actually, I think the smaller con PonyCon Holland is comfier than Galacon, so don't fall into the trap of thinking bigger = better. Though it's definitely bitter that there's currently no con at all in your country, not even a small one. I hope you will find somebody nice to link up with at Feria Kawaii, and together you will keep your eyes open for more opportunities similar to Feria Kawaii. I may not see my EuroAnon niggas outside of cons, but I have a small handful of contacts of anons I clicked with, and I cherish that because they're bros. So I wish (both of) you find the same.

They were more like gatherings on public spaces, this is the first one since 2013 organized and planned as something akin to a proper convention on an specifical place.

So according to a lot of people there wasn't enough pony shit to satisfy the demand on the vendors stands so it was proved that there is a bit market for it, it could be this event repeats again in the future. Also the line to get in was like four blocks long and the Instagram post announcing it was the most liked publication from the fair in a long time.

Okay now some critique (constructive, don't want to undermine the whole event because was absolutely perfect the opportunity to enjoy pony shit irl)
-The music selection was pretty lacking, only five or six songs played ad nauseam mixed with bits of episodes in the middle, and not brony music at all. Not even classics like The Living Tombstone, eurobeat or current one like PrinceWhateverer
-Lack of merchandise and artists, even not oficial. There was a demand seeing how much was sold out in the first two hours and the few artists present were so popular that one had to make a wait-list of the amount of people asking for a comm on person.
-Not current brony stuff. There wasn't anything about Anonfilly, Shinodage OCs (weird thinking how he's a local), Tamers, etc. Maybe is just a personal complain because most fans here are unaware of their existance.
Also thanks to this event I realized that there's in fact so much cool pony shit here, it was on Instagram all along and didn't know at all.

g1 is cool tho, and it makes sense considering how important Argentina is in the G1 collector market.
We had a factory here, and it's easy to find old stuff from time to time.

It seems my suspicions were confirmed.
It was a "Feria Kawaii" (anime fair) like any other, but with the peculiarity of having mlp posters.
Anyway, yes, I would have loved to be there, and I don't want to discredit the event or the other activities that took place, like the karaoke and cosplay contest, or anything related to the guys from Resistencia, or how important this was for the local fandom.

It was, from the get go, a regular Feria Kawaii but with an MLP theme. They delivered exactly what I expected, which is a regular feria kawaii filled with the regular artists selling whatever is popular at the time.

They'll probably do another one next year, so it's OUR duty to save up money, do marketing, help Argentinian artists set up booths there for the day. We need to make noise. The more successful MLP-themed cons are, the closer we are to a proper MLP con.

Of course I don't expect any of you to actually put in that effort, but I'll see if Resistencia is up for it.

When in doubt, do what AJ would do.

I'll be real I was absolutely great for me and throw that observations as a suggestion for next events because it was obvious there's still no market dedicated to an audience that was almost hiding on different Otaku, independent and fan fairs at the time that a lot of stuff is not noticed even by a lot of bronies here. I even asked some people about for instance Tamers or Anonfilly and they don't have an idea about what it is. Luckily one or two recognized what snowpity was so there's still hope. For me I would like some day hace my own stand as both an artist and art supplier vendor to somehow stimulate from myself more fandom or at least people be able to enjoy pony somehow here. Also the Cosplay contest and Resistencia was the best aspects of the whole event.

Are they the only notable group there? Any others like them?

Resistencia is the only one that, well, endured the passage of time. The only one who resisted it

I know a bunch of Argentinian ponyfags from the early days and most of them have moved on or have some bad blood with Resistencia since the times of WinonaMLP Facebook group

Ngl, I liked the presentation from the main Resistencia guy, but man, couldn't he take a shower?

It's a good thing you couldn't smell him from the stage, but everytime you were closed to that stained, dirty sweater he was wearing, you could smell it

Not the best look for our kind
