There's good episodes after season 2. Sleepless in Ponyville and Flight to the Finish are fantastic, and not just because I adore Scootaloo.

Haven't watched any episodes past season 5, but it's safe to say it is still really damn good even without Lauren Faust writing the script.

Yeah I'm watching little horse show for the first time and I'm debating on continuing after season 2. I know that's when Faust left the show, and I can't tell if I have per-concieved notion that the show is worse after watching Crystal Empire.
