(Though this is vague because "Equestrian technology" is highly variable itself.) But the simplest, clearest, most obvious reason they cannot be Amish because they don't shun Pinkie for taking a different lifestyle. All of her family, while not necessarily understanding her, still accepts her.
Furthermore Anabaptists aren't exclusively a North American thing. While the "Amish" are mostly located in North America other groups such as the Mennonites live largely similar "old fashioned" lives have a population in both North and South America, with over a hundred thousand members in Bolivia and Mexico each, more if you count other Mennonite denominations.
I won't get into the doctrinal differences of real Christianity or Horse Christianity, but it's while it's technically correct to say "The Amish are an American thing", it would be wrong to say "High conservative/ Rustic Living Christians are unique to the United States."
