Name one benefit of the Everfree.
>muh nature
ponies don't go there because it's dangerous and they can create their own animal sanctuaries anyway
>muh magical ingredients

it gives the ponies somewhere safe to retreat to when something is super fucked with Ponyville, eg when Trixie takes over and Twilight goes to train in the Everfree with Zecora
they could do the same thing if, for example, a dragon or changelings took over Ponyville and the Mane 6 had to get away before they can regroup and reclaim it because most baddies that wanna take over ponyville wouldnt want to enter the Everfree

also the Everfree having tons of magical ingredients is still insanely useful so long as they consult an expert like Zecora and dont just rub themselves in random plants they find like retards

Because if potion makers were able to produce their potions en masse, they would not have to charge as much for each individual unit sold in order to make up for the cost of the equipment used to produce them. Otherwise, they would only be able to sell to customers willing to pay a an arm and a leg (a foreleg and a rear leg?) to be able to use them.

The industrial revolution is already upon equestria. There are just a few hold outs in places like ponyville that have yet to see the light on that issue. Our heroes film and flam go out to spread the knowledge of industry to these backwards luddites to make their lives easier and better
Anonymous No.42268489 [Report] >>42268955

I know people have already pointed out that Humans≠ponies but to sate your Victorian worldview for a moment think about it. We do see the siblings of ponies whose parents wanted to mitigate risk because both Earth Pony reps, Applejack & Pinkie do have multiple siblings as we see.

In fact Rainbow Dash is kind of an exception in being an only child among them. While the Earth ponies have three siblings each we see the Unicorn or Pegasi Mane Six with one sibling, meaning two children. Equalling a stable population. We see Unicorns occupying many upper class positions in Equestrian society, so we can understand there's less need for labour, less danger in their childbirth, so on.

Pegasi we know come from an original martial tradition, which would mean many children, but by the Mane Six's time we see the most popular jobs in Cloudsdale is the weather factory, or the service industry in Las Pegasus. Which once more gives them more urban amenities, less need for children than the overwhelmingly rural Earth Ponies.

MLP's view on industrialization reminds me of Tolkien. The Shire is basically this idyllic, tight-knit land of green hills, fertile crops, homely people. Saruman and Sauron use metallurgy, industry to fuel a war machine that completely destroys anything good or beneficial. Since Ponyville is like The Shire and Equestria ME, such a drastic technological leap would be devastating for it.
Anonymous No.42269741 [Report] >>42269798

Then there also must be rape, pedophiles and foal molesting, murder, genocide and war. How about we just ditch the colorful ponies because that sounds just like humans now and some generic fantasy setting would fit much better for it.

MLP has Las Pegasus, Manehattan, Whinnyapolis, and Fillydelphia. Even in the Mysterious Mare Do Well, Ponyville also has construction akin to modern humans.
Not to mention the things in Equestria that would require industrial production like ovens, stoves, trains, theaters, film and projectors, and more.

I've felt a bit of Tolkien's perspective recently when I was in VR and visited a vrchat world called the friendship express, which was a sceneic train trip through the Equestrian countryside with instrumental tracks from FIM in the background. It was supremely cosy and relaxing, almost felt like I could fall asleep in it. Made me wish that much more it was real. I'm no treehugger, but I can't say it didn't give me a bit more distain for the Flim Flam brothers timeline than I used to have.

Those are all modern cities that completely clash with the identity of what the show's intention was. A proper evolution of their architecture would be Canterlot, their Minas Tirith. But by your logic it would be 100% correct if Coruscant was just 10 blocks away from Rivendell or if Rome bordered Chicago. And I don't count random visual gags either.
