I'm using Windows 7. As a last resort, if it doesn't work at all, there is Winsows 10 (which will be enough for the next 15 years) and linux.

Even with ESU patches this is a bad idea. Just switch to Linux and run a virtual Windows 11 machine in VMWare for the few programs that require it.
