Snowpones take inspiration from Siberian stuff, right? I have an idea for a mare who retells snowponies' stories on Sámi drums for mare shamans, or she just makes frame drums for them and some big ones for the abominables.

Maybe as a yakut I'm being too critical about it, but palette and ornaments in most of the art I see here look unlike anything Yakut or any other Siberian. So I always felt like it all was inspired by Inuits.

Probable. Igloos and stuff were associated with snowpones from day 1, and they're inuit stuff, not yakut.

my idea was that like how the ponies have a cold adapted variation so do the seaponies
i was thinking that there isn't much interaction between the seaponies and the snowponies but the former likes to steal food and trinkets from the latter when they get the chance
i couldn't draw it well but in my mind's eye i imagine the seaponies as chubby faced/blubbery
