Some mare-loving haji (pbuh) is working on a crude kinda 3d pony platformer type deal. It's on Steam now.

Unfortunately I don't actually speak Arabic, but I am something of an amateur, hobbyist, fake, not-really linguist, so I just tried to find the noun for pit and pair it with the genitive form of snow. "Pit of snow."

I would analyse "pity" as being a diminutive of "pit." I could have tried to find an arabic diminutive form of "pit," but I didn't think to do that.

IIRC the diminutives in Arabic are u-ay. Kulayb means puppy. I thought pony was Furays.

I know right? The only thing arabs should know is how to activate their suicide bomber vest in a crowd of infidel.

That's the theory kind of crazy how a whole family decided to say umlaut's not enough.

If you haven't read The Unfolding of Language by Guy Deutscher, then I can't recommend it enough.

It has multiple sections where it discusses the proposed origins of the Semitic verbal root system in extensive detail. It's fascinating stuff, if a little hard to wrap your head around.
