The funny thing is that I hated Mari in the death of Trixie movie, but the latest episode made me realized I just hated how she was written. DoTS was just okay. It relied a bit too heavily on scenes like Sunset appearing or the credits to really consider it to be better than every other movie. If you compare it to a movie like Soarin and Braeburn, you can really see the flaws in DoTS.

Its funny how Rarity is both my favorite pony in the actual show and also my favorite pony in Tamers MLP.
Canon Rarity has the most depth out of any pony, and actually grows and develops as a character, while also being hilarious.
Tamers Rarity is hilarious and has a boat load of potential and has actually gone through character development as well.
In the beginning of Tamers MLP Rarity was a hated doormat, but she grew to be a more appreciated pony who while still being one of the kindest ponies on Tamers MLP she's also able to stand up for herself more. Not to mention that Tamers Rarity has shown a lot of hidden martial potential as well and I how Tamers allows Rarity's power to bloom in the Tournament of Power.

Flawless has addressed it, flawless has never been unclear on her origin or what she is, from day one she says she's from Twi and Trixie. She doesn't say it's because of Luna or Rarity because it isn't, factually her existence is not from the effects of either Luna's hex nor the transference spell, its solely because Twi's mind was pushed into Trixie's when they used the transference spell. Luna herself explained it and later why Trixie had to leave: Trixie and Twi had an unstable connection due to Twi's mind being pushed where it never should have been and smashing right into Trixie's.

Her power really only works when others obey it or are weaker than her. Literally she is given the same death faces as anyone else when stabbed, the fight was treated serious but her injuries weren't as literally band aids fixed them like everything else.
