Do people even like the CMC episodes? I came here to watch the Mane 6 not some dumb fillies.

They can be fun sometimes, they're cute and have a solid dynamic but their arc of looking for the cutie mark should have ended at The Show Stoppers, anything else feels like filler. I also liked Stare Master (which is more about Fluttershy) and One Bad Seed

If they have character arcs, then yes. The CMC were supposed to get their cutie marks at the end of The Show Stoppers, but they decided to give it a "comedic" ending to not break the status quo, a decision that was pointless in the long term because they got it four seasons later anyway.

I like the early CMC episodes. Yeah, they’re a little annoying, but so are real kids. I think they could’ve done more where they interact with the rest of the cast to a better extent but they still worked fine. One of the best is “The Stare Master.”

I mean, I personally don’t like kids at all, so they still do annoy the shit out of me. But that’s just their character. They were noticeably less annoying by Season 2 as well. “Hearts and Hooves” day is a classic and they don’t even really annoy me in that one.

Could’ve been better, but not bad.

Episodes needed to be focused on them not obtaining a CM just like episodes around the M6 needed to be more adventrous instead of "character XYZ is mad at me because I sneezed on them and we 20 minutes to solve it."

No, it makes them look stupid for having the prize right before their eyes and not realizing. Also, none of the later episodes involving the CMC and the topic of cutie show a development on their characters that would lead them close to get theirs. Rather, them looking for their CM became just a running gag.

I do agree with the critique that their episodes should've had more variety, but the episodes that focus on one of them are some of my favorites. Family Appreciation Day, Sleepless in Ponyville, Flight to the Finish, Somepony to Watch Over Me? Amazing episodes.
