>>42306903These days, you can get legit good AI for free and without needing any demanding hardware on your end.
Install SillyTavern:
github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavern
Then choose a model. I'd recommend starting with Deepseek R1, Deepseek V3, or Gemini.
> Deepseek R1: - Sign up at openrouter.ai
- OpenRouter gives 50 messages daily for free, or 1,000 if you deposit $10 (the credits won't be consumed for free models, but you still need to deposit it)
- Go to openrouter.ai/settings/keys and generate an API key
- In SillyTavern, configure it like this:
https://u.pone.rs/lXSMwdFO.png
- Download those presets:
http://files.catbox.moe/y1tsas.json
https://rentry.org/DeepFluff
https://momoura.neocities.org/preset/peepsqueak-1.1-R1.json
https://momoura.neocities.org/preset/deepdeep-dropseek.json
files.catbox.moe/y1tsas.json
- Import them like this:
files.catbox.moe/jqrz6z.PNG
- Try it out and see what you like best, and feel free to create your own later.
- Use github.com/fdoremi/STOpenR with multiple accounts if you don't want to deposit $10
> Deepseek V3: Same setup, just use this config instead:
u.pone.rs/iAenGOqc.PNG
> Deepseek Chimera: Same setup, but use this config:
files.catbox.moe/2kt1d5.png
Try all three and see which one you prefer.
For Deepseek with a 200 messages by day limit, you can also use:
chutes.ai/
Get an API key here:

anyone good with lorebooks?
assuming I understand correctly, they trigger on keywords by {{user}}, but not by {{char}}.
I'm speculating something like an extension which could resend {{char}} messages as user in the background, then regenerate with the lorebook entries present, all in the background before giving the final reply. As a way to offload much to lorebooks rather than the card or message context, saving on tokens.
>>42310085 >assuming I understand correctly, they trigger on keywords by {{user}}, but not by {{char}}. They do, in fact.
The only thing is that it won't activate at the moment the message by {{char}} is made, since the AI can't change its output on the fly. It will activate for the next output once it's in context.
There was some guides posted
>>42300120
>>42310090oh! well that makes it a little easier
an extension sending every response to a second prompt, something like 'using the lorebook entries, assess if anything in X original message needs to change, and provide the updated response)
that's then passed on to the user. it does mean the bot would be slower having to do every message twice, but you could offload a ton to lorebooks to keep the RP going longer without hitting the context limit
could also maybe get creative with putting stuff into a new lorebook on the fly automatically, since ST allows chat specific lorebooks as well as a character one
>>42310094Makes me remember on how ReMemory can be configured to use lorebooks to store its summaries.
Even if it stubbornly wants you to use an auxiliary character lorebook, making it a mess to use if you have different chats with the same character.
Updated SillyTavern and the google models are all paywalled or in a limit?
I remember one experimental that had a lower limit and I could use for a few hours, now after a few messages Im getting the "quota limit".

You do need to use those legit biases too:
https://files.catbox.moe/gb5qf4.json
Otherwise, you will need to study presets that do work in your case. Chorbo and 1120 are harder to preset than others, and there aren't that many public presets for them.

>>42309797>why are you using the pony file sharing site to share pony content?
It's cool that Agnai has a button to toggle reasoning on and off and it literally does nothing.
I've finally figured out deepseek, I think. You can and should use prefilling. Finally getting good results with the new R1, will test Chimera later too.
>>42310271>people haven't been prefilling on every model they useOh, I see. That's why we've had so many complaints about Deepseek being filtered.
>>42310279 Dunno about Deepseek, but I don't find prefilling really essential for Claude to bypasse filters since 3.7. I only use it to try to impose a style or to continue a generation I liked the start of but not the end.
I have been doing fine without it with Gemini too.
And of course, GPT models don't have prefilling.
>>42310279Remember when the thread was screaming at people about how prefilling only works on specific models? Remember when people asked about DeepSeek for weeks and no one ever mentioned prefilling? The thread and culture has once more degenerated into people assuming things that are stated nowhere are actually obvious.
>>42310291 It's more about personal taste and all the models we have, IMO.
I don't know that much about Deepseek, so when someone asks, I often post public presets that are often mentioned, but I don't know what works best.
In the general, we had an anon posting
>>42307232, another one saying he only uses empty presets to get the best results... etc.
There is still sharing of presets, but it's more divided than in the past when we were all using Claude because it was what was easily available and also liked.
There is no single best meta, so the best you can do is just share findings, even simple ones, or give a bunch of presets to a newcomer so they can test and study them to see what works best for them.

SILLY TAVERN MESSAGE COLLAPSER.
This one is pretty straightforward. It allows you to collapse message in your chats. either individually, collapse them all, expand them all, or (the primary reason I made it) Collapse or expand all of the messages that are excluded/disabled from sending in the prompts (the little eye icon).
https://github com/nfuller286/Message_Collapser
Features
Toggle Messages: Click the arrow next to any message to hide or show it.
Global Actions:
Collapse All: Hide all messages in the chat.
Expand All: Show all hidden messages.
Manage Hidden Messages:
Collapse Hidden: Hide messages marked as 'hidden' (usually shown with an eye-slash icon).
Expand Hidden: Show all 'hidden' messages.
Master Toggle: Turn the extension on or off in the settings.
Visual Indicators: Arrow icons (down for expanded, right for collapsed) show the message state.

>>42310700>Master or DicksEh
>>42310719 13K right of the bat is a lot, IMO. But it depends on how much is really necessary.
Words that are in your character description do not trigger lorebooks, if I remember correctly. So maybe you can give a bit of context there to guide the AI naturally and keep the heavy description for when one of the terms is triggered.
>>42310738currently i'm intentionally triggering them all with a <!-- __start_chat__ -->
hidden in first messages. But you're right, I should slim down what's likely to be necessary at the beginning, rather than a complete lore dump. Thanks
A question for my fellow ESLs - do you stick to English on your sessions or slip to your native tongue as well from time to time? I guess they are advanced enough at this point to handle lesser known languages but I still feel weird seeing it.
>>42310765Haven't tried that. Though I'm really sure I'll also feel weird doing it.

>>42310719Lorebook is supposed to be for stuff that doesn't all need to be in context at once, so that seems a bit counterproductive.
I use short summaries at the start of new chats for the basics and let the lorebook entries do their thing as needed. I highly doubt you need 13k of chat context right from message one.

>>42310906>What's the point of a lorebook if you trigger the whole thing at once?i'm thinking only initially trigger most of the world lore so it knows where to start, from there it should be on the right track to only trigger when used
>>42310913This is because tulpas are fake and chatbots are real.
Please... not 40โ100 posts on chatbots vs tulpas. I fucking beg you.
>>42310966Based! I said to wait until after you release your demo so you wouldn't get slowed down with non-priority tasks, but I appreciate it all the same. Thank you, Anon, will spend lots of time chatting with Celly
>>42310996 Several anons asked for her, and it's true that it did feel wrong not to have her present.
For Luna, it was easy to have her in your dreams each night, but I didn't know how to introduce Celly.
What I did is that on the first Sunday of sandbox_mode, Twilight will tell you that Princess Celestia has summoned you both. So you take the train and go visit her.
Following that, each Sunday, you can decide to stay in Ponyville like normal or go visit Celestia, either alone or with Twilight.
Adding a character doesn't take too long with the system in place (15-20min), it's mostly the special triggers for her, etc.
One thing I would like (but really after the first release in this case, since it will take a bit more time) is a system where you can write her a letter on other days and receive one from her before going to bed.
Do any of you guys have a lorebook that explores the political side of Equestrian world? Yes, I do mean Celestia's tax policy and the such. I can always try to come up with something myself, but maybe there are some likeminded autists out there.
>>42310931Thanks, I'm sure you're an expert on tulpas.

Honestly, for the VN, it might be my favorite model, which surprises me since I'm not the biggest fan of it for RP.
But here it's throwing a lot of interesting curves, and it's making Pinkie both a bit random and really sweet without going full lolrandom either.
I guess the focus on dialogue over narration also helps to remove a lot of slop.
Some screenshots, nothing that extraordinary, but I just find them cute and comfy myself.

>>42312455 >does it allow for adding presets/prefills It's not as advanced as ST, but there are three 'presets' you can change. They're in three JSON files, so you can also share them and modify them outside of the game.
One for the generation of scenes when you enter a location.
One for the Q/A part.
And one for the story summarization.
I didn't add prefilling yet.
>does it let you lewd the pones? Didn't try it myself, but if you change the scene generation and Q/A presets for it, it shouldn't be a problem. Some models are also not that filtered to start with.
You can also add all the sprites you want, and they will be automatically detected, so you can include NSFW ones.

tried to make this work several times now, and it seems like something else is filtering me every single time. Why is there ZERO convenient guides, every guide here or anywhere on the web is insanely complex and everything says completely different things. How much time did you spend to make at least sillytavern work? I can't believe I'm seriously this retarded.
>>42312888I can't believe it either, nonny. Set a couple of hours aside with the guide at https://rentry.org/onrms and take your time. It's very comprehensive.
>How much time did you spend to make at least sillytavern work?About an evening, coming in from an online frontend and limited technical knowledge.
>>42312888Based trips of truth, yeah this has the usual general problem where the longer things go on for the more impenetrable it becomes to new people. I got Silly to work easily but that's because I'm a codefag to begin with, the existing guide I used for it was bloated and ESL as fuck and you had to scroll halfway down to find the relevant portion anyway. That's part of why I use Agnai to get people into the hobby since it's a lot simpler to set up and the only thing it doesn't work well with is GPT models (unless they added bias).
But please share your specific troubles and we'll help you.

Does chorbo seem more filtered today to anyone else? The preset Iโve been using doesnโt seem to work now.

>>>/g/105759013 Unless it's you.
>>42314095Thatโs me. I thought I just messed up my preset at first, but itโs still filtering stuff that worked fine yesterday.
>>42314092no, not my experience. seems to be the same on my end. what kind of stories are you doing? I do slowburn with escalating into bloodplay and hurt-n-comfort (not abuse)
>that worked fine yesterdayon the same chat? with the same context? with the same progress? there are more variables than just a model. what works with say petplay may not work well with orgy, different kinks hit differently. for reference any kind of bulling, gaslight, mental torture are filtered more likely because models are trained to prevent writing this stuff (so IRL tormentors cannot use models to write text for their victims). it can be that what you are doing NOW resembles in some way the cases the model was trained against
unironically if you are doing AiE then what you are writing now may resemble the bestiality texts and the model filters them on ground of animal abuse. it is not necessary that model was updated on purpose to fuck with users - it is the patterns that were noticed
>>42314092 Just tested, and it's fine on my end.

maybe lorebook are injected?
there are lots of things to consider
>>42314092I was having some weird refusals yesterday for an entirely SFW prompt. Latte's just fucky, I guess.

Do you also have about a dozen of half-baked OC cards that you don't bother to publish anywhere or is it just me?
>>42315861 >>42315886 Really slopped and bad for RP or creative writing, not worth it IMO. Their previous model, Amazon Nova, was already quite bad.
>>42315966 Not OC, but there are cards I don't publish here because they'e just greetings meant to drop me into a situation with nothing else.
Like ponies finding me and us not speaking the same language, or just dumb stuff in general.
>>42315986I've had an idea for a feral (pretending) Anon being found by Fluttershy in Everfree, but that's more of a persona kind of deal that can be done with any card
>>42315966Only one made to play with an alicorn persona on something that I don't see much on fics.

And as
>>42315986, I mostly have a card that is literally "you are a narrator" that I write greetings for.
>>42315966The defs are fine (as far as I know) but the greetings are just ones I've come up with on a whim, usually with a specific character I'm playing as. Not really fit for 'general use' I guess
I've always been a filthy casual when it comes to chatbots. Gemini+SillyTavern was my initial setup and for a while it worked like a dream right out of the box with no fiddling needed, could prompt pretty much anything with no pushback or censoring. Came back after not using it for a bit and some update must have fucked it because it kept bitching at me when I'd try to steer RPs into NSFW territory and just didn't feel as free or unfettered as it had previously. Got tired of fighting with it and tried DeepSeek for a bit but it wasn't much better. Anyways, I'm trying a local setup with Kobold+Rocinante+SillyTavern now and so far it's been really serviceable, user friendly, and generally frictionless for what I use it for. Not perfect but enjoyable enough. I'm branching out and learning more about tweaking and optimizing it, plus it's all local so no more feeling weird about Google spying on all my weird fetishes. I'm optimistic about localfagging becoming more and more viable.
>>42316012 >Came back after not using it for a bit and some update must have fucked it because it kept bitching at me when I'd try to steer RPs into NSFW territory I'm not having problems with 2.5 Pro and some basic presets, but that probably depends on what you're doing.
But honestly, good for you if you can go full local and be happy with the results.
>I'm optimistic about localfagging becoming more and more viable.I do hope so too.
>>42315966Yes, same. Half of those is probably fine to be posted as-is, but I left them to "finish them later" or "write more greetings" and ended up never coming back to them after using them sort of like a scenario card for a while.
>>42315966A dozen to the power of 3 more like. Not half-baked but I just don't care enough to publish them because not only are anons suprisingly anal about cards following explicit patterns but also many don't seem to be into what I'm into.

only g5 i've touched is wagie sunny
>>42316891Well I mean like, none of the g5 characters I mean everyone losing magic and trying to helping ponies through it.
>>42316870I tried yes. with whole party (but used Pipp as a card). but it was meh - I was driving the whole story most of the time and model just passively reacted to what I was doing in chat or in OOC. I had that autistic idea of Tree of Harmony is dying - magic is dying as well - Twilight saves remnant of it into Unity - Unity should have been protected until you Tree reappears - civilization moved on - forgot about initial purpose - and now Sunny is looking for them - no Opaline. I was part of G5 party. I wanted to have this exploration story with wild-frontier vibes, like we were visiting the ruins of Canterlot (yes I was inspired my G5 comics), but model was just too uncreative and tried to reduce everything into cheap post-apoc setting (no jokes I specifically remember how we meet bandits/raiders who tried to loot us. I swiped and got the same goons across 2-3 more swipes kek). I was doing it for 50 messages trying to salvage it but ultimately abandoned. the fact that model had no idea who G5 were, and mixed G4/5 content was another issue. it was back in Claude 2-0/1 era. I am sure nowadays models can do it better but I personally dont care about G5 this much to bother, I am not blindly dismissing it but I dont feel attached to the characters and story. there is a good lorebook which fills all the blank (thanks Anon who made it). so if anyone wants to do G5 it can be done now
>>42316919That's a shame it felt like you had a real idea, Really, its just a shame g5 was such a bad joke I think after like session 4 and little bit of 5 it felt, they lost it, but it died truly with the man with the actual ideas died.

I namedropped Cherry Berry and the ensuing dialogue included talking about her hot air balloon, Latte is a pretty impressive model nowadays.
What are the latest thoughts when it comes to example messages? I almost never write them because they used to guide things too hard, but some characters sure could use reminders on how they speak.
What's the meta?
>>42319814 Over are the days of:
>`Ponies Present: Roseluck | Pegasus | Playing her lyre`
>>42319967 From what I'm seeing here and in the other generals, what you said is in fact the 'meta'.
Greetings and descriptions are generally enough and don't steer the models too hard, but if your character has a certain way of speaking or if you need a format for your answer, example messages can help with that.
Still, it may need to be tested again to see the results.
>>42319967It's also preset-dependent, of course (bigger presets = more bloat = less impact of any one addition), but I agree with
>>42319983.
Use description to describe the character's speaking style, and include an example in the greeting, or you risk steering it way too hard. The last time I tried it was when I've been working on a card with randomized characters, and I've found that in 80%+ of cases the models would decide to pick one of the three examples provided as its "randomly chosen" character.

>Pony Pony ParadiseColourful, rich with personality, alliterative, feels like a real title, is accurate to the contents of the game, echoes Japanese game names such as what a VN might be called
EquestrAI sounds like you'd be exploring an AI version of Equestria where that's part of the plot with a sci-fi premise, whereas the Equestria in the VN is meant to just be Equestria. Meanwhile the silly tone of PPP fits well being a tongue in cheek title for a VN about ponies. By your logic Friendship is Magic should have been called My Little Pony: Flash Puppets instead because that's what was used to make the show, regardless of how it communicates an entirely wrong tone.
>>42320630>unrelated to the actual nature of the storyNTA but as the person who suggested EquestrAI, the reason I suggested it was explicitly because the anon making the VN has made it clear that there's no meaningful story and the real purpose of it is to create a platform for VN-style interaction with ponies, and that platform is intentionally open-ended and modular so that users can and should heavily modify it. If it were a more focused project the name would make zero sense.
It is uncreative and a poor pun though, you're very correct there.

>>42322202What kind of character do you like? Yes, anime reference is fine.
And if you prefeer simulations there's some too, but just out of the blue, literally just pick a random mare.
Since it's ERP, Estrus Simulation is an old gold for aimulation, but it's about trying to not get fucked. Not sure how models been handling that nowadays, since it could get quite >Rape-y on you
>>42322261>What kind of character do you like? Yes, anime reference is fine.I generally just like nice/kind characters, I can't really think of any character to use as a reference though.
>And if you prefeer simulations there's some too, but just out of the blue, literally just pick a random mare. That's my issue, there are so many cards of each of the mane six that I don't know where to start. I was hoping that there were certain cards out there that could be considered the gold standard for various characters, if that makes sense.
>>42322296Nta, but Ponyo's Mane 6 are excellent and are written in such a way that they work fairly well with any model. You also sound like a Fluttershy/Pinkie Pie type.

>>42322309I appreciate it, but I don't necessarily want to install an extension just to use a card. It does look like you put quite a bit of work into it though.
>>42322202>>mostly for ERPntsdude made more simple cards that can easily turn into smut with a few messages. Those are either underage ponies (fillies) or older mares (most of them married).
Princess Cadance is a good start to be a homewrecker. Maybe Spoiled Rich to put an uppity mare in her place and maybe pair her up with her bratty daughter Diamond Tiara.
>>42322367Oh yeah, these need a good model to not turn into total slop. GPT/Claude/Gemini has a good understanding of the series in general.

I hate writing descriptions...
>>42322664Really? That's my favorite part. It's the greetings where I often get lazy.
>>42322670 For Greetings, I just think of situations I want to have with the characters, situations I want the characters to be put in, or open scenarios, and it's enough to give a draft or at least a direction. They feel more motivating to write for me.
Descriptions feel more mechanical. You can still give them a style if you want, but it does feel a bit more like a checklist.
- My character is an OC or a not-so-well-known background pony, so I need to put her coat, mane, and eye color somewhere.
- I need to explain the personality while avoiding sentences or words that can push some models too far in a direction.
- etc.
>>42322506Can't wait to access new Chimera so I can toy with this brat too.
>>42322683I get that, guess I just like writing backstory. Also I find it really fun to think of different ways to bring up the usual info. That's why Late Bloomer Initiative is like a welcome letter from your boss, Fillydelphia Four is like an underground dossier etc.
Speaking of descriptions, I'm rewriting the Twilight card to bring it up to date. Greetings are going fine, but I'm still refining the description.
- I've decided to remove all physical details. That used to be necessary because models would mess up things like eye color, but that's less of a problem now, especially with a well-known character like Twilight.
Some models overuse color descriptors by default:
>Her magenta/golden/emerald eyes blablabla
So dropping them might help reduce that too.
- Models are better at not bringing up her wings with something like:
>This is {{char}} in her pre-coronation days, a studious unicorn, NOT a princess.
If you push too hard on "NO WINGS," GPT sometimes gets weird:
>Her wings... lol, jk, she doesn't have them! But if she did, they'd twitch!
It only did that once in my tests.
- Add lines that she's a magical powerhouse and that magic can be creative and whimsical, not just lasers and teleportation.
- Keep lines about her learning friendship, sending reports to Celestia, being socially awkward at times, having mild OCD tendencies, and getting anxious when she feels she's falling short.
- Include a line about her leadership abilities; it's in the bible and shown in episodes but not mentioned often.
- Tell the model to avoid scientific buzzwords, robot-like behavior, and the "I LOVE SCIENCE!" parody.
Anything you'd like the models to focus more or less on, or that you personally add?
>>42322745But that implies her coronation days are inevitable and she'd mutate into a horrible winged monster how horrible
>>42322745>Tell the model to avoid scientific buzzwords, robot-like behavior, and the "I LOVE SCIENCE!" parody. If you can come up with an effective way to stop this shit for good, that'd be great. I'll instantly add it to a lorebook for use whenever Twilight is in the scene regardless of the card.

I've been out of the loop for a while, but it looks like there's free options now you can run locally on ST? I'm seeing a lot about Gemini but I never used that one.

You can check

Okay how the fuck do I stop sonnet from doing this shit? It keeps fucking degenerating into lines of sentences and won't stop narrating in 1st person.
>>42328073Does the preset tries to nudge its narration style and length? Because I don't get that problem even after exceeding 15k tokens with Otto RiR.
>>42328073Simply tell it not to. Put something in your preset or card desc to the effect of 'write descriptively, in third person past tense'. If your prompts are short first-person sentences, and the model doesn't have anything telling it otherwise, it'll end up copying you.
>>42328086>>42328091Well I fixed the 1 sentence thing by switching to sonnet 20250219 and changing preset but it still narrates in first person which I fear might be because of the prefill.
>>42328114Ah, I'm also using that model. Interesting to know it was influenced by that.
As for the first person narration, with my preset I found an instruction related to that inside the "New Chat" prompt I believe.

Random duos of characters are fun. I had several tries with Spike and Trixie.
In one, they were playing Ogres and Oubliettes together. In another, she was trying to recruit him as a henchman, and in another she was just shitting on his Power Ponies comics.

>>42306898 (OP)Dunno whose fault it is but the second greeting on the new Flurry card doesn't get imported properly. I had to manually copy it in.
Also for the love of fuck if you're a cardmaker please learn to have at least one greeting that's short and in roleplay style instead of being overly long narration. Some of us still like to have a back and forth with the bot instead of having them godmode or go on for way too long by themselves. I know scenarios are deprecated but the modern standard of baking setting info into the starting message has been a disaster for cards' writing style.
>>42330675>the second greeting on the new Flurry card doesn't get imported properly. Using https://mlpchag.neocities.org/view?card=Kadon/Flurry%20Heart.png?

>>42330675Reason I don't write short greetings without any scenario info is because it's pretty pointless. It takes so little effort, anyone using the card can easily do it themselves, or just gen it with a simple prompt.

>>42330836No, you're just too dumb to follow the conversation. The topic at hand was already your inability and unwillingness to write something good because you've become complacent in your life of slop. Try actually writing for once. Oh wait, you probably don't want to, you only want to feel good.
>>42306928 Thread's over, so posting this here.
I should be able to release the VN later today.
It's still an alpha, and since I'm not a cooder and this is a fairly big project, I'm expecting some bugs, issues, and probably feature requests from anons.
Not sure I want to clog the thread with that kind of stuff though, I know some anons just don't care.
Should I set up a public doc for bug reports and suggestions, maybe include a burner email? Or just drop the game and let things play out naturally? Open to ideas.
>>42330896Sweet. I think the VN is on-topic enough that that stuff should be fine here.
>>42330675Thanks for the feedback anon, are you looking for as blank a slate as possible in your greetings? How much narration is too much, have you noticed a tipping point that leads to bad output? (Also what model are you using?) I try to write greetings like the beginning to a story, do you (and other anons) dislike this/find it negatively affecting your interactions with the card?
>>42331021Anon, that one isn't looking to actually give any feedback, you're wasting your time.
It's a good topic of conversation though, hopefully others will chip in.
>>42331021I don't really need greetings to be a blank slate (those are easy to make on your own), but at least on the models I use (mainly DS) a long intro will result in long replies down the road, which inevitably results in the model either pushing too far in a scene without your input or going in circles for too long in a single message.
>just tell the model to do shorter messages lolDS is very touchy with JBs and such. Because you keep it at lower temps, it's actually too good at following instructions, which makes replies bad in the other way.
Other points of note are when a greeting spends more time on the scenery than on the character, speaks for other characters, or in general acts more like, as you said, the start of a story than a message. Because there are no example messages, the model will refer back to and kind of copy the first one in subsequent ones, which is just not what I'm looking for in a rp. Having the greeting speak for Shining WILL result in the card speaking for you or bringing in other characters rather than just rping as Flurry. Having it describe the thoughts of the patrons IS responsible for the eventual "somewhere, something somethings" that DS throws in so much, because you're priming the model to be an omniscient third person narrator rather than a character. And I know some people enjoy that, but it's really not what I'm here for.
Ideally a greeting would be focused on the character, about the character, describing the actions and thoughts of the character. Stuff like "you're Flurry's new caretaker" should be part of the card itself. That obviously has the huge problem that it directs all conversations in that direction, which is even worse, but the ideal solution to this would be a rotating system of scenarios where part of the card is treated like greetings and for each chat you only choose what applies, because polluting the greeting with it influences the style. Personally I try to weave it into the greeting in a non obtrusive way that traces back to the character itself ([charater looks at {{user}} and says "So you're my new teacher?"] rather than [you've been assigned to be character's new teacher] as part of the message itself), but it's an imperfect system. The reality is that a card will give the best results when it's fully focused on a single scenario and greetings are just a hacky way to get multiple ones in, but often the info they contain would ideally be part of the card itself were it not for them conflicting with each other.
But a lot of people ITT clearly have 0 issue with the model going full godmode and acting for them, so who knows.
>>42331100Thanks, anon, this is actually useful info. I never use DS so maybe that's why I haven't had these issues so much myself?
Also, I often like having multiple characters interacting in a scene, but I see the point about focusing only on the titular character in a single character card. Will keep that in mind for future greetings.
>>42331100>DS is very touchy with JBs and suchThe other day I switched to deepseek with my giant JB prompt meant for sonnet 4, and the first thing it wrote was
>WOW, my writing must be bland.
>>42331114Usually if I want multiple characters I also want control over each one, so I just have different cards for each. Temporary interactions being handled by the card is okay but the more you lean into it the more you inevitably inch closer to the model acting for you too. The problem is exponential when you're the one doing the narration and puppeteering a different character without a card, as the model is then a lot more likely to take control of that too.
>>42331137>WOW, my writing must be bland.Deepeek kneeling to calude kek
>>42331051>hopefully others will chip in.Sure, here it is.
>>42330743You're retarded, kill yourself.
With that out of the way,
>>42331021>Thanks for the feedback anon, are you looking for as blank a slate as possible in your greetings?I personally don't use any greetings anymore. I can write an opener that sets the scene to any degree of detail I want and the models I use are smart enough to follow this without any issues.
> I try to write greetings like the beginning to a story, do you (and other anons) dislike this/find it negatively affecting your interactions with the card?It depends on how you do it: the other anon has a point in that seemingly innocuous decisions such as bringing in other characters are unnecessary and influence the model's behavior in a way some anons may dislike. You have to keep mind on a lot of things like that when making a card to share.
The rest of his issues are just generic Deepseek issues. Which is also something you have to keep in mind when making a card. Ideally you'd test it against all four popular models and see how it holds up.
>>42331231Deepseek issues are GPT issues no matter how much you cope about it.
