The thing is that is unspecific and a stupid way to describe meditation.
I do go through long periods of “autopilot” and “not thinking about anything” since I do door to door sales, so I’m only really there in the moment when answering doors or when something catches my attention. I don’t constantly have “intrusive” thoughts, and if I do sit down and try to follow the whole “ignore the thoughts thing” it’s not hard, it just is really uncomfortable to sit still in the positions recommended for meditation especially on office chairs or the floor cris crossed.

There are reasons for the positions recommended, but it's not mandatory. It's perfectly fine to sit in a chair in normal style. Just make sure you have good posture if you can.
Secondly, "ignoring thoughts" is absolutely the wrong way to approach meditation.
The actual methodology of meditation is very simple!
1. Close eyes & sit down.
2. Pay attention to present moment (everything in field of awareness) without clinging. Like watching clouds.
3. When ready, switch the attention onto bodily sensations.
4. Proceed to switch to sensations of breath throughout the body when ready.
5. Finally, narrow attention on breath sensations at the nostrils or upper lip. (Other areas can be fine, but must be very clearly felt. IE- abdomen rising and falling)

You aren't suppressing other sensations/thoughts/sounds from awareness here. Just focusing on the breath. If something comes up, you note it mentally with a simple label, let it go and then return to the breath gently.

Batsy gave me marephobia, it's a long story but I'll try and explain it here.

It was July 2025, the same month that /mlp/con was live, and I was a perfectly normal mare loving dude looking for a fun pony time. My mare friend recommended this artist called "Batsy" and when I looked up his work I was truly oustounded. I didn't just want to play the upvote his art, I needed to.

I pulled out my phone scrambling to find all his socials, after I found it I proceeded to like and repost in a record 10 minute time after hearing about him. When I opened his profile I was pleased that it lived up to my expectations. I was quickly met by a fool named "Lucky Roll" who chose to look like a silly batpony while she was truly the serpent. I blasted through her quickly as it was a relatively easy fap and continued on with my goon sesh. I was truly astounded at the detail put into it. When I saw that there was this huge mare "Linky" who was extremely fond of sucking penises and I barely thought anything of it. It was completely normal for me who wasn't even marephobic at the time and couldn't tell when his fetishes trickled in. But then something happened that would change the experience of my life forever. I was diagnosed with Marephobia.

This was a huge shock to deal with, I had been an ally to mares all of my life and to find out that I had contracted marephobia was heartbreaking! When I got back from my local GP I decided to open Batsy's art stash to cheer myself up, but what I saw shuck me even more. I had been half way through jorking it to that Kirin animation when I left for my biweekly checkup but when I returned I found out what had given me the marephobia. I had jorked to Batsy's art so much my brain was completely rewired to only see them as an object of lust. This is what caused my crippling marephobia, a goon sesh to Batsy's art. I was furious that all because of this I could no longer see mares the same again, only with a weird greenish tint. when I finished the goon sesh and started a new one I saw Linky and Berry again and I just couldn't look. What was once a respectable looking duo of mares to me was now a greenish headache.

I have been told that I might recover in due years but I fear that I may not. So from then on I had a different outlook on mares and not too long after that my best friend at the time told me she felt like she might be a mare and I completely cut her off. So that's how Batsy gave me Marephobia and why I am FURIOUS that Batsy still has the featured image 30 days after it was featured!
