doesnt fit. there is no malice or traits for sadism. they wrote her to be a harmless bombastic buffoon, the great and powerful shit is nothing beyond a persona she uses for attention.nothing evil in there.
they should have made her an actual rival to twilight.
what they should have done is give us a reason to root against her, which they utterly failed at.

Here’s a scene that I wrote:


[Scene - Deep in the Everfree Forest at night. The moon hangs high. Candles form a ritual circle around Trixie, who levitates above the ground, Grogar’s Bell thrumming with power.]

*Tempest, Sunset, Rabastan, and other cultists chant in low, rhythmic tones. Snips and Snails stumble through the brush nearby, following what they think are fireworks.*

Snails: “Dude… you see that glow? That’s gotta be her! Trixie’s practicing new spells!”

Snips: “Yeah! C’mon, let’s go say hi! Maybe she’ll show us how to grow horns on frogs again!”

[They crash through the underbrush and come to a sudden halt.]

Snails: “Uh… Snips? Why is she floating? And… is that Sunset Shimmer setting stuff on fire?”

Snips: “W-wait… why’s that guy speaking snake? I don’t like this…”

[Trixie turns her head sharply, eyes glowing faintly, voice low and eldritch]

Trixie (in full Witch Mode): “Who dares interrupt the Rite of Searing Moons under the Eighth Phase? I should feed your bones to the roots."

[The Bell begins to hum. Snips starts to tremble. Snails’ knees wobble.]

Snips: “T-Trixie?! W-we’re sorry! We didn’t know it was, uh, a… thing!”

Snails: “We just thought you were makin’ fireworks again!”

[A beat. Then suddenly—Trixie’s posture shifts. Her voice goes bubbly and theatrical, as if nothing was wrong.]

Trixie (instantly flipping to “Showmare” persona): “Ohohoho! Silly colts! You’ve stumbled upon one of the Great and Powerful Trixie’s private rehearsals!”

[winks, steps away from glowing pentagram]

Trixie: “A magician never reveals her secrets, after all. You wouldn’t want to spoil the grand finale, would you?”

[The Bell vanishes into her cloak. Sunset quickly kicks dirt over the ritual sigil. Tempest glares silently.]

Snips: “Oh! Hahaha… rehearsal! Of course! We’ll, uh, just go back to town and let you get back to… your routine!”

Snails: “Yeah! Break a hoof or whatever!”

[Snips and Snails run off into the woods. Trixie exhales slowly, the smile melting away.]

Trixie [cold again, to her coven]: “Next time, seal the wards. I’d rather not turn those two into tree frogs unless I have to.”
