Do you want a fresh, fabulous and mysterious thread to post zeebs? This is the perfect place. Post any pic, stories, opinions and more from your grace.
My day was highly improved by watching this screenshot so I wanted to share it with you, fellow zebra lovers. Zecora is a great zebra, a nice teacher and a good alchemist with a cool mystic aura that is topped with the way she rhyme-talks. I ove her.

I think I like it most as a shaman thing, meaning that where she comes from it'd still be somewhat rare and carry a certain status.
In a fic one could even make it so different shamans speak in different rhyme schemes

there's only one, and we never saw her homeland, so zebra culture is pretty much entirely guesswork, they lack an established world of their own to have adventures in. same goes for guidelines on how to design characters, you only have one to base off of and just gotta look what seems appropriate.
at least Zecora is lovely so we get to enjoy nice pictures of her.

I would like zebra a lot more if it did not become entangled with stupid American black culture. Some Anons basically equate zebras with American blacks and how they behave, which is extremely irritating to me. I feel like zebras should be their own unique thing, not based on some stupid earth bottom-of-the-barrel culture. This thread has been comfy though...so far.
>>42344977 >are zeber ocs really that disliked?
Idk about "disliked" but I know they're wasted potential. Every zeeb oc I've seen is the same black and white with nothing done to make them stand out other than the way Jargon Scott's done his.
People are shit at worldbuilding too, so anything made up for zeebs will most likely fail hard.

Zecora's design and concept is one to make this generation of internet users ask "how did they get away with this back then" for how stereotypical it is. I've always find it very cool personally. Too bad that we didn't get to see another zebras so we'd never know if they have different patterns of stripes or cutie marks, or if their cutie marks work the same as the pony ones.
Ive got a headcanon that each zebras would have unique stripe designs to be visually distinct from one another, just like how each ponies have uniquely different pastel colours

Zecora was introduced in S1 yet never got a dedicated episode. Some nasty, stomping, burping, ESL yak monster and her gay friends all got solo episodes and more screentime in 2 seasons than Zecora did. A psychotic, teal and purple haired unicorn who sounds like Hayley Smith from Family Guy got more screentime than Zecora. A blue anthro dragon and gay changelings got more dialogue and screentime than Zecora. Zecora could've been fleshed out more for more popularity but the shit writers didnt want that.
>>42353293 >No Zecora episode >Never traveled to her home >Never gave her a backstory >Fandom just uses them for shitty race play fetish
zeebs got done dirty, by the show and fandom.
It is sad that Zebras were ones that didn't get much fleshing out. Though, I do wonder if this was because the writers were scared of getting labelled as racists.

There's a genetic condition where they can be born like picrel. It's rare though, so I personally wouldn't want to be seen as having a token 'disabled' character as an OC, because you know the modern fandom would see it that way.

You also wouldn't see a bright colored little horse irl, but I get your point. I was talking about brown zeebs looks more 'natural' and attractive rather than other colors. In fact, with the archetypes associated with zebras, they give a more striking idea in conjunction with their appearance. Quite the opposite can be said with the shitty comic with those...

Dumb question but, are zebras the same as horses irl? I mean in attitude, strength, size and pussy. Or is my mind warped by Zecora? I have always thought Zecora was cute, but she feels like the kind of mare to see men as disposable, love us, pump us, and dump us.
