Jesus said "whoever believes in Me will live even if he dies."
He said go everywhere and preach the gospel, saying like He did, that "the kingdom of heaven is at hand, repent and believe in the gospel"
He said unless we repent from sin we will all perish. and if we do not believe in Him, we will die in our sin. But whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.
He said to give up our lives for Him now and we will inherit the kingdom of heaven. Not just getting into heaven, but inheriting and ruling over stuff when He returns.
But if we try to keep our own lives, we will lose it
