Legends of Equestria wasn't a /mlp/ thing. If anyone who worked on it used /mlp/ that's because everyone who knew pony knew /mlp/ and EQD.

I think 90% of /mlp/ was rednecks who hang out with other rednecks so they don't find the obnoxious retarded behaviour weird and abysmal, they find it perfectly normal. Personally I too think these creatures aren't actually autistic and they are simply rednecks, all rednecks behave like they're loud autists.
