Actually, not true. Many people still stuck stubbornly to Windows XP even up until 2014 whenever support officially ended. So there were probably many pony fans, especially in countries like Russia or China that were watching in XP. Now everyone's nostalgic for 7.

I agree, but people are usually reluctant to change, thats why 11 has such a hard time getting new people over (also because it sucks). 7 is good but people had already been using XP for over 13 years and enjoyed the aesthetic. 7 and XP tho are about equal in terms of how much i like them, but XP has a bit of an edge because I grew up using an XP computer

I was stuck with Win XP till about early 2013, so sort of. But Ponies on Win XP with scene culture influence is something I certainly don't remember. Scene culture was considered cringe by 2008 and was pretty much delegated to the shadow realm by 2010, so they certainly didn't mix with ponies. Now, if this was a bunch of 2010s era hipsters. then that would be something I certainly remember (god I hope no one gets nostalgic for that shit).

Why tf are ppl just now starting to obsess over scene culture now anyway?

No, because this level of forced nostalgia wasnt a thing until like 2020. Emo/scene was on its way out when MLP blew up, people only drew them as emo ironically back then.

I do in fact, women ruined the internet and men pretending to be women made it worse. The fact that Emo/Scene is seen in a positive light by zoomers is hilarious because the old internet is litered with traces of what they really were like, fat chicks who smelled like shit, had one of the worst music tastes recorded in history, liked some of the worst anime of the 2000s, and were overall, just the ancestor of the common fat lesbian with colored hair, who continutes to ruin the internet and the world in general to this day

It kinda like that in myspace and certain normie blog sites. It also took forever to load and most of the internet is just forums. I do miss my gore and shock sites. The internet wasn't the same ever since LiveLeak got shutdown.

I remember it, but not much at the internet ironically. I remember seeing bunch of stalls inside a mall selling skull shirt and other goth/emo merchs and some emos walking around and sulking like they are Sasuke from Naruto while Linkin park or evanescence playing on the speaker. I miss the edgy vibe of that era.
And no, that isn't pony related you faggot zoomer. Gen 4 aired in 2010 were most of emo scene along with the blingee picture you reference already died off due to Facebook taking over with their boring and sterile layout.

Yes and no. The weebs from that era still heavily appropriate emo aesthetics. It isn't until 2013 or 2014 that emo/scene actually died and were replaced with soulless and ugly hipster culture. God I hate hipsters. No matter what happened I wish zoomers and gen alpha never get nostalgic about that abomination.

>>42378402 tiktok turned the 2000s into this "perfect thing" tricking people into believing that the 2000s was such a perfect time and yes it did have it's internet culture and shit but it wasn't perfect and the way tiktok portrays scene/emo culture is fake as fuck

NTA, but I think 11 is at least better than 10 in terms of features, but not so much in performance. However, nothing will beat XP or 7.

At the time, I thought these were being made by obnoxious goth girls. Actually I still don't know what to call them because "goth" seems off. They were the types to shop at hot topic but not fit the emo mold either. All they did was say random shit online and post hello kitty, invader zim, and nightmare before christmas crap.
Back then, it felt like everyone was trying so hard to be unique that they they all ended up deviating from the norm in the same direction.
It's like how, when you're entering a bathroom, you think to pull the top of the handle because you assume it's less-used, but meanwhile the last few dozens of people all had the same idea.

Nta but a character being emo in the show doesn't mean they were an accepted part of emo culture.

Yeah. Why is it even in window media player? The image itself is more like myspace background, minus the other windows that are there for some reason.
