Mare Attraction: If you see two or more mares, you can be sure that they will soon be joined by more and more and so on until all the ponies are sitting on each other. It's not entirely clear what this is, a desire for warmth or something else.
Mare sees, mare does: If you hear an “am” or a “beep!” you can be sure all the surrounding mares will start repeating those sounds. I suspect it's some kind of instinct or some secret form of communication among ponies.
Flutterscreams: Mares just love it. Even just for fun, not as a reaction to events.

Everyone has a homeserver they register with. Matrix channels are also hosted on servers. Your homeserver communicates with other servers on your behalf; think of it like email providers.
If someone's homeserver is down, their account is down. If a channel's server is down, those channels are unavailable.
