So 2011 was the year of the brony. We had a big, white hot, fast-burning fandom and it was great. Now we're warming our hands comfortably on the lingering coals.

Question is: What can we collectively do in regards to Umamusume--the latest horse girl anime game--to hijack it, infect it like a virus, or at least catch some momentum from it's wake?

As much as I want it to be so, it won't and can't. People were allowed to be cringe in the past, some embraced and hated brony culture. Spreading fandom lies in the hands of the internet at large.

I've been in the masses, followed what trendy and "the next talk-about thing". Twitter, Discord, Reddit. But then I've seen some shit flinged, it won't stay. I left that culture of "being everyone" and started thinking about it, stepping back from drama number 4792922 that will die off in 3 days before 10 more pops up.

People will learn, or some cases, relearn about being culture and will have good or bad experiences. What convinces people? Video essays will lead. Memes will lead. Brainrot will lead. Shit spreads fast.

Brony culture won't come again unless the masses welcome it. Look at infection AU from TikTok. Brony culture in the past wasn't supposed to last that long, but it did.
