Well, if I were the pony Grim Reaper, I'd be like that SCP who appears to everyone in their deathbed.
He appeared to people who would die alone and nobody noticing. He was the only exception, appearing to calm them down, stay with them, and maybe share a smoke. When the person expired, he would dissapear.

I'd be like that: appearing in front of ponies, sit next to them quietly, maybe read them a story or share some candy. And when is over: collect and leave.
