Twilight's Study Corner
What are (You) Studying for Anons? Anything you're interested in or researching?

Right now I'll be working on mechatronics classes until midnight, and it'd be nice to catch up with other bronies who are deep in study, or need a mental break to relax.

Groovy tunes here:

I'm going to try and pursue (CREATIVE HOBBY) but then give up at the first roadblock.

Don't give up anon. You won't be able to see how great you can be if you don't push through the struggle. I'm ADHustistic and I know the struggle of picking up like 50 hobbies but only getting a bit of each.

I'm working on fpv planes, drones, 3d printing, 3d design, painting, drawing at the same time. It's way too much. I need to just pick one lol

>I'd like to come and do that in Equestria too.
>Not the nuclear weapon part but you know what I mean.
>Help solve friendship problems and shit.

Oh hey fellow 'mechatronics and automation' specialist. I'd like to switch over from being a machine janny to an electrician or welder but I honestly feel like I'm too old to switch career paths and start from the bottom so maybe go back to school to become a lead machine janny (get a degree and fill out paperwork all day). I like my job and it's not incredibly taxing mentally or physically after the heat dies down and I get paid okay but it's a shrinking field with how things are getting locked down by OEMs and I think I hit a pay ceiling.

nothing

Plushmaking but I’m too lazy and scared to bother asking to borrow my family’s sewing machine. Even then I only have old clothes that I can seamripper apart for fabric, and my job barely pays me anything so I can’t get any supplies.

I'll have to refresh my knowledge on social psychology and statistics in the upcoming week, so I can work on a final thesis asap.

Today I'll get back into drawfagging because I've had to neglect it (again) in favor of more urgent matters, and that just won't fly. Without art, life is dull and pointless to me.

Hello there, welding is pretty cool, and its in demand too. If you learned how to aluminum weld Im sure you could make it big in the aerospace trade. They rely on really good aluminum welders.

BTW its never too late to switch career paths. I went to trade school for machining but right now Ive ended up doing something completely different (quality assurance).

We had students in our machine school who were in their 50's, people just looking for something new to do instead of office corporate jobs. One guy legit was a social security govt worker for 40 years and decided to give it up to work in the field. Its never too late to do what you wanna do!!

Facts. One thing I love about this fandom is the extremely good art. I want to learn to draw ponies better. Life has priorities tho

Good luck on your thesis!!! /)

>Plushmaking
Thats good Anon, we're seriously needing more plush makers, Ive been looking for a Trixie but they are so expensive and the cheap ones are... cheap and don't really look that great. I hope you make some awesome plushies and sell them for cuddling (^-^)

Thank you. I've had so many random setbacks cost me years of my life and crush my self-esteem, I just want to finally have a degree in hand to move away and apply for decent jobs.

I regret how much I've been neglecting art, stagnating for a decade because I never grinded my fundies. I'm so rusty, something as simple as picking 3 random pictures of animals to loosely copy is already a success if I manage to make it a habit. It's going to take a while to tap into a flow state and start feeling the forms again. And then, I'll add animal anatomy studies until it clicks. Eventually, I'll be able to draw my Discord with sexy confidence in every brush stroke because he deserves the best.

Wikipedia explains this one (at "Atomic orbital"): "They are derived from description by early spectroscopists of certain series of alkali metal spectroscopic lines as sharp, principal, diffuse, and fundamental." Which isn't a good reason, but at least it's a reason.

Currently practicing 4 pieces for the next semester in piano, composing a song cycle for a mezzo-soprano and piano for the next semester in composition, and also reading through a linear algebra textbook as a preparation for the next semester in CS.

I would really love to make some original pony music, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get anything done before the semester starts again.

I have been studying twilight slide threads. Really interesting that one lone tranny shits up this board everyday, and rages against anything that is not twilight.
