The designs of My Little Ponies has always been so ugly and awful it's incredible that such a simple design changed had such an impact. I know G5 is 3D rendered because that's easier to just crap out for your crap toy commercial show. But also I wonder if they know they can't do 2D again, they'd have to use the FiM design because it's just so good. Are they really going to use G3 designs again, who likes that? Women? Probably, women like ugly looking female characters to make themselves feel better.
