It really perplexes me that hasbro fucked g5 up so bad. All you needed to do was listen to your fans. Imagine not riding off the success of g4? You lost SO much potential money hasbro.

I don't understand I've seen so many people on this board talk about how G5 is bad and how it's not popular so Hasbro is so worried and stuff about "fans". And, I don't like bringing age into this, but, do people who grew up with MLP now think that FiM is what MLP is?
G5 is My Little Pony. And it's very successful I'm sure, My Little Pony toys sales are probably doing just fine. My Little Pony is NOT a TV series to have fans. FiM was an accident, one that Hasbro began to correct immediately after season 1. There is no sequel to FiM, EVER. so the age of bronies will fade away and be forgotten about and My Little Pony will continue to be what it is, like Bratz dolls or Littlest Pet Shop or whatever trash. No one wants to watch G5 because it's exactly what Hasbro wants it to be, My Little Pony. It's loved by impressionable little girls I'm sure. For little girls generic stuff is good enough.
And thinking Hasbro should make good shows instead with MLP, maybe they would make more money that way, but Hasbro is super rich doing what they have been doing they're not going to take a risk.

There's nothing more that can happen. Until AI allows people to generate entire new FiM episodes but once AI is that good the whole entertainment industry and society will explode and we'll all be dead anyway.

Mothers and girls go to the pink isle and buy My Little Pony toys to brush the hair. And they make a show tie-in to encourage them to go back and buy additional toys. It doesn't even matter if the ponies they buy are in the show. That's why it doesn't matter if the ponies change appearance with generations or if the toys don't match the show at all which is usually the case.
Hasbro doesn't care about the show's quality. Some of the writers and animators might slightly. The very existence of the show is enough to sell toys. They could sell G4 toys for years and years and keep making G5 shows and it would make no difference.
