That link goes to element.io, which is the official hosted element of the web app, and generally the most reliable one to use.

Same thing that killed matrix.horse the first time. The server had to be completely rebuilt from scratch. Synapse is an awful Homeserver that, once you join a channel on another HS that is somewhat bigger with a couple thousand people, causes events to completely flood your database and annihilate it.

The problem with RP relationships is that at least 50%, if not like 90%, of the "game" involves talking over chat to a real person on the other side. If you're having a "pretend relationship" talking to another living being all day long, at some point it's no longer pretend, it's an actual relationship except while both of you are denying reality and pretending the virtual pony in the online world is real (and not the human typing on the physical keyboard on the other side).

The only thing approaching an "RP relationship" that can actually exist as such is literally just a couple of friends goofing around, not having any sort of commitment, but just LARPing relationship-like things just for the fun of having an event or something. Like some of the meme weddings we've had over time where a couple of ponies hold a wedding for the memes, RP the entire ceremony, but they're literally just doing it for the sake of a fun event and that's it.

Those actually exist, as evidenced for example by the meme weddings that have happened. But because there's nothing deeper about it, it's just a couple of friends goofing around and doing an RP for some scene or other, most people don't really call them "relationships" as such.
If you really want a long-term relationship where you larp as each other's marewives long-term, then you'll inevitably hit the block where you've committed to some kind of long-term exclusive arrangement with displays of affection and the like with what's effectively another real person, and it's a very tall task to keep a clear line and keep this up long-term without it blurring into affection FOR the other person.

I really liked the race course at Cloudsdale so I visited again to see if it has changed since I last went, there is now a leaderboard though it seems to have stopped updating my score after a couple runs. It's a shame this place is the way it is because it could be so much more.

The chat relay stifles conversation and I believe it should be severely nerfed. There is no reason popens hanging out in a HH parcel need to be a part of a conversation happening by the fire and vice versa. Or another example: the wheel of popen game doesn't need broadcast across two sims. I know IMs exist but they aren't ideal for group chats. Add TTS and gesture spam, the chat relay makes communicating more difficult than it needs to be.

I think the relay should be more configurable in a per-user basis. Blocking someone else does nothing to affect whether you get their messages through the relay or not, which is part of what makes blocking so ineffective as a means of self-moderation. Each relay user having its own "mute list" and "preferred range" would be ideal, but iunno if that can be done without overloading the script's memory.

True but I'm saying this from experience: whenever I'm in a conversation somewhere in public land (but outside the hangout central area), and the conversation is not whispered (i.e. relayed sim-wide), I almost practically never see anypony from somewhere far away join in. Nor do I ever see ponies around me joining in on the hangout conversation elsewhere in situations like these.
You just end up with parallel conversations happening in local and ponies generally just talking to the ponies in front of them.

What are you expecting to see? Do you expect each half of a conversation to be carried by people in two different hemispheres? Because the actual upside here is letting people selectively get involved. If I'm semi-AFK on a random rooftop or in the middle of the street, I can still add to the conversation sometimes. And if I'm interested in being a more active part of the conversation, yes I'll move closer, because that lets me do gestures at people and so on.

tl;dr the benefit is not letting people carry on conversations from a mile away. It's about getting people involved at all.

You might be able to work against the mangled mesh by kneading the normals in a way to steer against the issues but doing this will always be a ghettofix and may don't work at all for those running potatoes on minimal gfx. Doesn't help that a pure white coat makes issues stick out even more.
I guess to get completely rid of the issues you'd have to redo the entire head mesh but then you'd also have to redo the animations and weightmapping.
A whole lotta work for quite the niche mod since most probably prefer cute looks and that mod definitely makes her look a lot more mature/aged. Of course would be appropriate for a ruler but you have to think about if this getting blown into a time consuming project is worth it for a couple users who might want to use it.

Yeah the problem with Celestia's head is that she has a unique model in the show so any solution like this is never going to look right, and making an actually show accurate head would definitely require redoing the weight mapping and even the animations. The attachment point doesn't matter for rigged mesh, as the definition of rigged is that each vert will always be a certain distance from the bones it's rigged to. So you could attach shirt to the left eyeball slot or something and it would still work fine.

Attachment points of everything else don't matter because you can have multiple items attached per point. Oldfags will tell you it's "dangerous" but I've never really experienced any issues so I assume it used to have problems but should probably be fine nowadays

That's really only feasible if you make few sales but only have a few items, if you have a larger volume of output but rarely make any sales on most of it, you're screwed either way

You can, but it's not usually advisable. In the past it would make attachments sometimes bug out, where they'd be visible to you but invisible to others, and when you'd try to detach them it wouldn't be possible.
I haven't seen that bug in a while, but as best practice I do still try to put them in unique slots.

Same, and I keep telling people to try and categorize their attachment slots too, because it makes changing so much more convenient too because when you, for example, put all your shirts in the upper arm slot, or your pants in the groin slot, you can just right click and wear another pair of pants in your inventory and the old ones will come off, and if you put your dick in the groin slot too, that'll detach when you put on pants too and you don't have to deal with any of that having to manually detach everything as well nonsense, not to mention you avoid the risk of running into that ghosted bug attachment you mentioned as well.

It's even simpler with rigged attachments since those can go literally anywhere. You can attach your mane to your leg and it'll still appear where it should.

fun fact, if the attachment is fully rigged and modifiable, once you have all your changes to it saved, you can link it to other rigged attachments to save on attachment points.

the opposite is true and I've made some laggy high complexity outfits by maxxing out the size of several already complex rigged attachments
