No, the context is save-dependent, so if you start a new game, it will be empty again, there is no cross-contamination.
If you want to return to your previous run afterward, there's no problem either, as long as you keep a save in one of your slots.
You can do a normal run or a quick start one too.

It depends on the snapshot of Chorbo: when it's good, it's really good, but some snapshots are quite bad.
The current one I'm getting (can't verify since they hide the version now, but the change is noticeable) has the same issue as a previous snapshot: it spams very short sentences in rapid succession, and it gets worse the longer the output is.
I intentionally provoked a long output to demonstrate this, so picrel is especially bad, but you get the idea.
Even in short messages, it tends to favor that style. You can sort of correct that with instructions but they are not always respected.

4.1 is usually a bit drier than Chorbo, but still good in my opinion. And when Chorbo is going through a rough patch, it's definitely worth trying both to see which you prefer.

Not really.
Just try both if you can, in different situations, settings, chats, etc., and decide for yourself.
Like you said, it also depends on presets, bots, inputs, and so on.
When fingerprints were visible, some anons were getting version A while others got version B with Chorbo, so now that it's hidden, we don't even know if we're comparing the same thing.
They could also change versions again tomorrow, or even in a few hours.

I think you answered your own question, Anon.
Say what you will about these sites being lower quality, at least there's the guarantee you can come home from a long work week to chat with your favorite characters without needing to dickarse around doing the Triquetrum Tango with Sans Undertale or waiting for somebody to graciously provide a proxy.

I also think you're so immersed in the hobby you can't really see what Joe Schmoe engages in. If you look at a place like /vpcai/, you'll see a lot of still on C.ai if you can believe it, with anons asking why they haven't upgraded to Janitorai.

Deepseek, K2 etc are a one-time $10 or free but limited.
From what I’ve read, many are also using JannyAI with proxies (just legit ones).

This is important to keep in mind. It's like comparing people who play board games, to TTRPG fanatics that have rooms dedicated to it. We're closer to the latter here, where as most people probably don't really give enough of a shit, don't want to learn to jump through the hoops, and just want to see how Twilight reacts to some skibidi bullshit or something rather than lengthy, invested RP anyways.

Everyone who tried it is hyping it, I tried it with a small writing prompt, and it does seem quite good.
It says it's from OpenAI, so many believe it's either GPT-5 or their open-source model, but a lot of models hallucinate being from OpenAI, so who knows.

Decided to revisit the localhosting in docker project from a while ago and managed to get it working. Turns out the issue I was getting initially was because my retarded ass didnt realise model vRAM requirement's are not as simple as an 8gb model being loaded onto a 8gb vcard.

As ive discovered. Running a 1gb model called Lucy, and it seems to be working well with a character I have loaded. Its an OC so not sure how accurate it is though.

If they're OCs, include them in the description if their bios aren't too long.
Otherwise, put a quick list with short descriptions in the main description and include more detailed info in the lorebooks.
