Looking good, I'm not the best to do critiques but the overall design looks fine, but I think the saddlebag and the hooves are too dark, and that clashes with the rest of the color palette, I'd go for a lighter color on both. The saddlebag you could try something less saturated, maybe closer to Applejack's hat, for the hooves you could try either a cream like on Big Mac, or trying something similar to what they did with Bright Mac and go with a light beige or something similar that's less saturated and that won't grab attention from the rest of the design

Not a whole lot, but it'd fix some small/uncanny issues with the stock FiM style.
Namely it'd:
>Reduce the head size so it doesn't rival the body mass.
>Increase the overall body size (ponies have to digest food somewhere).
>Reduce the tail volume, so it isn't half the body.
>Add detail to the legs. (This isn't even consistent in stock FiM, because some stallions, and I think rarely some mares, have visually defined fetlocks).
>Adds eyebrows, for increased expressiveness.
>Improves the overall skeletal/structural alignment of the ponies.
All-in-all, it's an attempt at a slight realism upgrade, but without loosing too much of the "cartoon pony" aesthetic.

Comparing that other animation to yours, you can see how in Frame 1, when the button is just about to pop, it quickly jumps into motion (Frame 2) and rest (Frame 3), it's very fast, because that's how you give the illusion of speed in animation. Frame 1, button’s about to pop; Frame 2, it shoots; Frame 3, teats settle.
As for yours, Frame 1, the button is about to burst, then that moment of the button flying is not a single frame like in the other animation, but rather 3 frames (Frame 2, Frame 3, Frame 4), and then her breasts take another 2 frames to rest rather than resting right after the release. Frame 1, about to pop; Frame 2, 3, and 4, it shoots; Frame 3, teats settle.
By removing Frame 2, and 4, we're left with only 3 frames, you can see the animation looks much faster and more natural, which is good.

I think you're making them a little too square in body shape. The shows artstyle is a lot rounder with more curves on the body. Yours feels pretty blocky and somewhat flat looking. I'm mostly onboard with decreasing the headsize slightly and I like the more defined fetlocks, but I think the rest of the body should be mostly unchanged. Pretty much every size estimate people have made of the ponies have their barrels about equal in length to a human torso, so they already have plenty of room to 'digest food', their bodies only look so small because their head is so huge in comparison.

Oh I probably should've mentioned that I plan to do slight variations between characters, which is why AJ's muzzle is so squared off/masculine. However, AJ will probably (need to re-verify with a friend) have some of the widest hips of the mane 6 - assuming that's feasible to really represent.

So for example on the others, Rainbow will probably have a similar face, but look less meaty in the body; Pinkie will be the chunky/pudgiest out of the six; Fluttershy & Twilight will be the tallest; Rarity will be slender, but with a larger rump; etc.

AJ got used as the testing ground since she's easiest to build with vectors (earth pony + minimal colors + not ridiculous hair).

Eh, I don't think it's /that/ blocky. I think part of it is, again, that it's AJ specifically. The only areas where I'd say there's been noticeable reduction is:
-The muzzle/chin, which is on the more extreme end with AJ.
-The rump, which, again, is partly just it being AJ, though I will concede that it /may/ be too flattened. I'll have to talk that one over with my main feedback friend.
-The legs, which kind of /need/ to be straightened a little for a realism bump. Though even then, they've still got a decent amount of curvature.
Also the stomach technically gained /more/ curvature.

As for body /length/...eh, I just kind of disagree there. In stock FiM they just look a little too front-back crunched to me. Will still bring it up to my friend though, to verify we didn't miss something in coming to the decision to elongate the body a bit.
