PonePuzzleTime was definitely an interesting experiment. I was impressed with how well jiggie handled 20+ concurrent players, all very lively. However, it felt way too chaotic to be considered comfy (maybe larger piece count could help), also inevitably there were a few trolls trying to break the puzzle at any given time. I'm happy to see a regular puzzle thread for a change.

That's true, already noted for next year!
It's a bit difficult to get good pics for high piece counts (close to 1000), at least if you try to avoid monochromatic spaces as much as possible
And yeah, trolls are usually a natural but annoying thing, so I should be prepared for that too.

I've felt that depth-of-field is kind of bad, even if you can associate pieces based on their blur or sharpness.

Depends on the size. Small puzzles can work with just about anything, but any puzzles larger than 500 pieces definitely need lots of detail and distinct color regions, otherwise it just turns into a slog.
