I know it might be unthinkable to a lot of people, but alcoholics do have to be sober from time to time.
Usually those times are in-between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
We have to earn the money for booze somehow.

Sorry, I just realized that "sober" can have different meanings (somehow I didn't realize that, at first), you know, due to different timescales and stuff.

I certainly feel like it. I don't drink every night, but it's damn close to it.

You aren't wrong, but when one is drinking somewhere between 1-2 six-packs per day (averaged over a week), just to be satisfied, it is clear that /something/ is wrong.
And yes, my drinking has fucked with my social life / work life --- just not to the point that it's a genuine problem.
