I think it is weird how somehow Twilight knew that putting together the crystals would unlock Earth pony magic "for the first time". Okay, bitch, how can you foresee this? Also, where does this recording take place on the timeline? I watched the scene, but am I just can't really understand what she is talking about, it is just stupid dumb blabbering and fantasy magic buzzwords. Like, Twilight defeated Opaline by "summoning all of her power", and if we were to take her design literal, this must take place before The Last Problem - well, and it is pretty clear she is referring to Opaline and not someone like Tirek or Cozy Glow. So, Twilight stole all the magic of all the ponies to concentrate them into this artefact and defeat Opaline? And after she defeated her she recorded this message? And then some time after The Last Problem, she split the crystals into three pieces for whatever reason; maybe Opaline came back and that's why? I haven't watched all of G5 because, oh God, it is so mediocre, so maybe there is more of an explanation in the show, but the show isn't really heavy on story from what I have heard..
This is what she is saying:
