Bronies React
Does anyone else think this series is kind of genius for what it is?

I feel like it's the only "react" thing on YouTube that's actually creative and engaging. Plus, unlike most react vids they actually transform the content their watching in a meaningful way by adding skits and the like. Its also a pretty big deal in the history of the fandom considering nearly how many horse famous people have been in it over the years.

Bronies React playlist:https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7A322D867992908B

Here's a tier list to rank ACRacebest’s Bronies React series! I’ll explain my personal rankings in posts below this op. I'll overall state that I am very grateful for ACRacebest and the other reactors for providing this content. Although I was not a fan of the direction the series took later on, the early reacts are amazing and I have consistently rewatched them over the years. There was just something about the format, the reactors’ personalities, and MLP itself that all meshed so well and made it so re-watchable, hilarious, and charming. The best reacts rival the actual show in my level of enjoyment, and I very highly recommend this series to all bronies. And can we agree that ACRacebest's channel is also awesome outside of this react series? He has been a fan of MLP since 2011 and has not relented since. He has done entertaining vlogs for every brony convention he went to over a decade, making for amazing time capsules for anyone who wants to get a feeling of what that scene was like during the golden years of the fandom.

Also, here is a shoutout to hillarious videos he did where he interviewed drunk people in Las Vegas about MLP. They are hilarious.

Tier List Rankings Explained:

Teens React to MLP: S Tier - Absolutely hilarious and perfectly executed. They critiqued the video well while also not taking themselves seriously at all and providing a bunch of hilarious lines. This series could not have started off better.

Derpy/College Humor My Little Brony: C Tier - Mainly just a discussion about these topics. Cool time capsules and the guys made good points, but besides that not much interesting or comedic here.

Cupcakes: B Tier - Only first few minutes are reactions to the actual video, which were hilarious. The rest of it is just a discussion about it. Pretty fun overall, especially Saberspark’s disgust.

Season 2 Finale/Season 3 Premiere: A Tier - First couple episode reactions, and very fun. I wish they were longer and they feel rushed. However, that is understandable since these was the first ones, and its really cool to see all these guys react first time to such old episodes

Season 3 Finale: S Tier - We have now hit the sweet spot in the pacing of the episode reacts. Has enough reactions so that everything interesting is covered without feeling rushed but few enough so that it doesn’t drag on and is very rewatchable. AcRacebest’s theories and how he edited those segments were the highlight here. The gold standard to follow for these.

Equestria Girls Trailer: A Tier - Really good mix of comedy and serious discussion on the topic at hand. An interesting variety of takes, with a good overall message about how the drama was overblown and the best solution was to wait and see if the movie would be good.

Equestria Girls Movie: S Tier - Once again, great pacing for an episode react, and since this movie is so easy to make fun of they had great material to work with. And BlackGryph0n literally skydived on video just to complain about Flash Sentry. Nuff said.

Smile HD: A Tier - Hilarious reactions to the video and some funny stuff in the discussion after.

Season 4 Premiere/Finale: A Tier - Very well paced and extremely rewatchable reactions with plenty of fun moments, just not quite as memorable to me as some of the other episode/movie reactions. Not many things in these really stick out to me thinking back to them, probably because there were no real twists in the format. Still great tho.

G3 MLP: B Tier - There was some very funny stuff here with how miserable they were watching G3, but the amount of reactors were pretty limited and I had a few issues here. From what I remember, Ratchetness (who I find kinda annoying and doesn’t add much) had way too much screentime, and I found BlackGryph0n’s disco acting annoying (which is a one off, he’s usually one of my favorite reactors).

Rainbow Rocks: S Tier - Still perfect pacing, ample material to make fun of, wonderful group of reactors. And Animated James’ introduction is amazing and adds a whole new layer of humor.

Season 5 trailer: A Tier - Some really fun discussion and speculation on the upcoming season, and Saberspark and BlackGryph0n had great chemistry on screen together.

Season 5 Premiere: S Tier - MA freaking Larson is in this and kept making fun of himself, the episode, and Hasbro. On top of that, more perfect pacing, great reactor group, plenty of communism jokes, and more creative Animated James.

Slice of Life: S Tier - They had so much freaking fun with this episode. It was so fun to see everyone react to the absolute acid trip this episode was. Highlights include more creative Animated James awesomeness and Orchestral Design’s reaction to Octavia’s voice. The react was very long relative to the episode, but it worked here since the episode was so dense with good react material.

Crusaders of the Lost Mark: B Tier - Still a fun reaction, just a bit more laid back than usual as there not much particularly interesting to react to compared to usual. I get why they wanted to react to this, but I feel that Do Princesses Dream would have made a much more fun reaction.

What? For being the biggest cringe autismfest there is? I really tried to watch their videos some times in the past, but I couldn't watch for more than a minute. Do they think they are funny with their tryhard skits? Way more cringe than the Molestia guy if I'm honest. I can easily watch that.

Friendship Games: S Tier - Equestria Girls just makes great reaction material, it is just so freaking easy to make fun of. Pacing is still great too, and so is the reactor group. Not much else to say.

Season 5 Finale: B Tier - Still a fun reaction, but a bit dragged out for my tastes, nothing really new or memorable here, and sadly no Animated James or Nowacking.

Season 6 Premiere: C Tier - This is where the episode reactions really start getting too spread out, slow paced, and really not rewatchable. The episode itself is far less interesting than any of the previous two parters, and yet it got the longest reaction. However, It is still a C due to a really good reactor group, especially for Fire Team Harmony’s intro and Joshscorcher (I wonder why he was only ever in two reacts). It’s a shame the MLP episode had nothing to work and the react was way too long.

Legend of Everfree: S Tier - Yep, Equestria Girls is so easy to make fun of, that all 4 movies made for S tier reacts. Great reactor group, fun stuff with the costumes, and memorable stuff such as BlackGryph0n’s armor and Animated James’ awesome Deadpool impression. Very creative and fun reactions that took full advantage of the material given. Unfortunately, this is the last react I have as either A or S tier and find seriously rewatchable. The last hurrah of Bronies React greatness.

Season 6 finale: B tier - Great react group. Animated James stopped playing a character and instead had a laid back reaction, and he had some great insights about the episodes. Sadly this was his last appearance. (On a side note, I really hope he is doing well nowadays and that leaving the internet helped him, I certainly am grateful for the entertainment he provided on this series, and I highly respect how he has taken full accountability for his past sins.) Unlike the S6 premiere this episode has great material to react to.

However, the react is heavily brought down because it is so drawn out and long, way longer than the actual episode. So this react is not very rewatchable. I understand why the reactors wanted to do more in these videos, but I personally strongly preferred the previous shorter style. Animated James’s reactions and my love for the S6 finale in general are enough to keep this at B tier for me.

Season 7 Premiere: D tier - By far the worst react imo, due to being the worst offender of being way too dragged out. This is almost 3 times the length of the episode, and the episode itself is not even very interesting. This react is boring and drags on forever.

I have nothing much to say about the rest of the reacts, they all suffered from me just not liking the more drawn out style very much, and not finding them as funny or rewatchable. I have only seen the later reactions once or twice each, and they would mainly just be C’s for me with a few exceptions I have as B tier. The B tiers are the FiM Episode 1 reaction due to the nostalgic throwback it was, Royal Problem & Season 7 finale due to the fun lore stuff they had to react to, & the Season 8 premiere and finale because I think they had a lot of fun making fun of the friendship school stuff. I thought these reactions had more fun material to react to that kept them more fun in comparison to the other later reacts. I have not seen the G5 reactions yet.

Overall, I am very grateful for ACRacebest and the other reactors for providing this content. Although I was not a fan of the direction the series took later on, the early reacts are amazing and I have consistently rewatched them over the years. There was just something about the format, the reactors’ personalities, and MLP itself that all meshed so well and made it so rewatchable, hilarious, and charming. The best reacts rival the actual show in my level of enjoyment, and I very highly recommend this series to all bronies.

Cope and Seethe has moved public opinion back in their favor, by essentially exonerate Saberspark and exposing the lack of evidence for the BlackGryph0n allegations. Cope and Seethe is likely gonna make a full video about BlackGrpyh0n if he can get him on record so that will be interesting.

Calling Bronies React "react content" doesn't do it justice in my opinion. People rightfully look down on the reaction genre online because 90% percent of it is just barely edited video with a facecam of some schlub in the corner of the screen interjecting occasionally with gripping commentary like "Wow", "Holy shit", "That's craaaaazy"

What puts Bronies React head and shoulders above that it is, for the most part, they aren't really "reacting" to the show genuinely. They pre-plan their jokes, they film skits, make funny edits, and the end result is "react content" that's entertaining in and of itself instead of just being a way to watch the thing they're reacting to

The best comparison I can make, and I know its a little weird, is to Nostalgia Critic's reviews. It's very similar type of series
