Honestly, I am somewhat inclined to set the offshoot scene aside in favour of the next regular chapter at this point. I'm completely bogged down in this segment and came to the conclusion that I'm more stunted in this kind of writing than I originally thought. Or became worse in it over time.
Whatever it is though, I tested that theory in the last two days as I began my writing work on the next chapter. And the results are clear, as I managed to write roughly a paragraph per day again rather than merely two or three lines. Yes, we're talking about that kind of pace.
