I would like this board to be moved off 4chan. But that won't happen, what will happen in these final days of the fandom is everything will slowly die with ups and downs but 90% of people here won't care about ponies in a few years and there's always going to be less people caring. And there will never be any new pony stuff in fact there will only be more stuff like G5 and Equatoria Girls which will be loved by idiots and dilute the pool.
/mlp/ is almost entirely useless. It's just worthless generals and then maybe three people making actual threads. I have over 80 threads blocked at any one time. And anyone with a brain would do the same. It's so much trash, even if I'm into sexual slavery, oh, go to the slavery general? No, it's useless.
/mlp/ is not worth getting into, because 4chan is not worth getting into, from a universal perspective. You will be happier without social media, remember that 4chan is designed to be an addictive social media platform to keep people arguing, that's what Moot became, he became another one of these social media CEO types and Hiro is the same way plus Hiro also just doesn't care. That was moot's final punishment and "screw you" to give the website to someone who doesn't care.
/mlp/ can be funny, or at least my threads and posts can be. But I think all of this is useless in the end, if you are done with 4chan you should move on and not return even if it means you'll be alone.
