Alternative Anniversary Planning/Discussion
Last year there was an Anon talking about putting on a better anniversary without EQG and with more feedback from the board. Some other suggested items were:
* Tight schedule: Have a well-defined timing for every episode/movie/etc, and don't deviate from it by more than about 15 minutes in each direction. There were a lot of cases of things being pushed forward by many hours this year and last, and it just wasn't great for anyone with a sleep schedule. No playing shit out of order, either.
* Two chat channels: one that's like the normal anni chat, plus one for discussion with heavier throttling. I realize this means changes to CyTube, or using an alternative platform, and I'm looking into that.
* No edited episodes in place of normal episodes: No alternative intros, no replacing episodes with anatomically correct versions (though those might be played separately)
* No fucking smoke detector beeps: Do I need to explain? Also, nothing else that messes with the UI and shit, like the MLG crap.
* No skip-locking videos that nobody wants to watch, other than episodes/movies/etc (because the point is to watch all of them.)
* No bias against certain episodes/seasons: This is more of a vague thing than a concrete one, it just feels like a lot of the jannies of the main anni are biased against later seasons of the show, and like to shit on it in an official capacity. None of that here.
OP had also previously assured:
>Next thread will probably be a lot closer to the actual 2025 alt anni, so once this one dies and you don't hear for awhile, rest assured I'm working on it.
Is this still the case? Is OP still alive? If so, how are things looking?
