I mean, I have also sometimes pointed out that Equestria has both a Summer and a Spring solstice (and thus a Winter and a Autmnal solstice) and not a Spring equinox, which also means that their world works completely different from ours. So that means they probably also have four equinoxes between the four solstices. But if a year has multiple winters like It Isn't the Mane Thing About You necessitates, then I guess a year might actually have dozens of solstices and equinoxes and repetitions of seasons without a year passing for whatever reason.
