I find it depressing that "love" more often than not is just a synonym for getting laid. Or in reference to some shallow, condition-based relationship. When love is true, genuine, and selfless, then it's the most powerful force in the universe.

Unfortunately, personal experience and basic observation of the world leads me to conclude that most people are functionally incapable of true love. They do not possess the depth of heart required to truly love another. They may care, in some capacity. They may say 'I love you', but that does not make it so. Proper, TRUE love is a precious and frustratingly rare thing to find.
