my personal cannon is them being somewhere between JRHNBR and barbieshit cannon, the bigger pones like Big Mac would be as big as or closer to JRHNBR while an average pony would be more EQG cannon sized with the princesses being actual horse sized

I also like 3-4, it's in that nice sweet spot of comparable mass for maximum peer-to-peer interaction, plus they're little ponies so they have to at least be comparable to pony size if not smaller. Still weirds me out sometimes that Celestia canonically is roughly as tall as a normal person when she's so tall compared to the regular cast.
Why is that, Anon? Do they need to be bigger to farm rocks? Did Trixie become the same size for her job or was she working with giants?

Between Bulk Biceps and Rockhoof of later seasons, I can easily imagine ponies having the capacity to get physically larger alongside muscle growth if their work/training is especially taxing.
